A total delight
I stayed at Jeanne’s lovely, classic apartment for 6 days with my husband and two 7-year-olds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the views of the Place de la Bastille and surrounding boulevards are picture perfect. There was storage space in each bedroom to put away clothes, and we liked how the rooms feel lived in and full of family memories without being at all cluttered. We ended up preparing several meals there, and apart from missing a serving dish or two, the kitchen is well-equipped and easy to navigate (and flooded with beautiful sunlight). The kids quickly got to know the local metro station (one entrance is right outside the front door), and it was easy to travel all over the city. It’s also a short, charming walk to local bakeries and markets, the Marais, Place des Vosges, Canal St. Martin, and the Seine. Jeanne was communicative and friendly, and we would happily return.

Amazing Location!
Jeanne‘s home has an amazing location with direct view of Place de la Bastille. The Metro access is literally just in front of the house and the area has a ton of lovely, independent cafes and restaurants.

Great location
Lovely apartment with character! Metro station is literally right outside the door of the building. Very easy to get anround. Lots of places to eat right in the neighborhood. Incredible view. There is only one toilet but this was not a problem. Everything was neat and clean with the exception of a number of plates and glasses that were dirty.

Beautiful Parisian Apartment
We stayed in this lovely spot for four nights in late August. The apartment is gorgeous and full of plants. A stone's throw from the Bastille metro, it was easy to get around. We loved the market on Thursday and Sunday mornings. We found a local boulangerie for daily coffee and croissants - is there anything better than that? The location was a short walk from the Marais and Ile de la Cite. It was plenty large for our family of five. Please note: there is only one toilet but there are two showers. There is a washing machine but no dryer. A couple of quibbles: 1. One reason we booked this unit is because it had air conditioning, something few Parisian apartments have that we were seeking in August. The AC unit was only in the living room and did not work very well. There were fans in every bedroom but it was still quite hot. 2. The WIFI also only worked (well) in the living room. 3. There was very little space to unpack clothes. We made do but additional space would have been nice. Quibbles aside, we loved the apartment overall and would be happy to return if our family is back in Paris!

Quintessential Parisian Experience!
The location of this property is ideal: the Bastille area has great metro options and is very lively. There are too many sites within 20 mins to name. The apartment itself is well-appointed. Since the host and family live there, there was limited closet space but that didn't really bother us. Very highly recommended!

Great location, but no room to unpack
The location of the property was great. The metro is literally right out the door and the market they have on Sunday and Thursday is fantastic - it is steps away. I will say I was quite disappointed to find out that this someone’s full time house that is filled to the brim…. every drawer cupboard and closet jammed packed with personal belongings that are quite disorganized and spill out if you open them. We have stayed at many rental properties and even if people live there, they clear out most or all of the belongings to leave a clean, organized and tidy space for you to unpack and settle in. There was one VERY tiny closet in one kids’ bedroom that was empty. We were a family of five and there was no where to put any of our belongings. We had to live out of suitcases that we had to step over in each of the rooms and hallways because there was no where to put anything. Like I said the location was great, but we never felt settled and it was strange to be living amidst all the owners belongings.

Regarding your remark: yes we rent our own apartment during our holidays. This is basically the Abritel VRBO concept! We leave a free wardrobe in each room. Free storage in the bathrooms and in the entrance are also available. You are the first person to make this remark in 5 years. It should be noted that Parisian apartments are generally smaller than American apartments. If your suitcases are XXL, it's certain that they won't fit in French-style cupboards or in elevators for that matter. It is useful to think about it for a next trip to Europe. I wish you a nice summer.

Beautiful apartment in terrific location
We had such a wonderful stay here for five nights. The location is excellent, right next to Bastille. The apartment itself is homely, relaxing, beautifully appointed, and has lovely views. Check in and communication with host were easy and straight forward. Thank you so much Jeanne.

Lovely French Flat
Our family of 6 had a wonderful time in Jeanne’s flat. Jeanne was so kind and accommodating, we felt extremely welcome in her home. The bunk beds were so appreciated with 4 kids and not typically easy to find. The rooms were spacious, the flat was clean and the location top notch, highly recommend for families or groups that are ok sleeping in bunk beds!!

Normandy Adventure
I gave this apartment 5 stars as it is very clear what to expect. We were 5 adults stopping in Paris on our way north. Bastille is a great location and this apartment is right there in the action. Jeanne was very prompt in her responses and very accommodating for holding our luggage checking in and checking out. The welcome champagne & chips was a nice touch. Master bedroom faces away from the busy street and was quiet. The other bedrooms from what I gather were very noisy and we were there on a weekend which probably didn't help. 2 tall guys had a hard time using the one bathroom shower, veery tight. None of these things would stop me from renting this apartment again, just info. thank you Jeanne for all your help!

The location was a dream
We have three college age kids and this was a PERFECT French apartment. I loved everything about it! It is quirky in layout but spacious. I loved being able to throw open the windows and see the action down below. There is a fantastic market on Thursdays and Sundays RIGHT outside the flat. It was a tish noisy with the windows open and then when you close the windows it's super quiet. The beds were comfy and the host was responsive. I would say the only kind of weird thing is that it is a home when people aren't renting it. She did a great job of turning into a rental but it is clearly a family home when not rented. I would love to come back here again. It is the quintessential Parisian experience.

Great location
We had a lovely stay. The apartment was well equipped and as described. The use of the lift was great for my older mother who has mobility issues. Jeanne was responsive during our stay and Paul met us at the unit upon arrival. The location was great and Bastille neighborhood was a little gem. We ubered and walked to most tourist hot spots but enjoyed going off the beaten path with side streets. This location is near many cafes and public transit. Fit our needs well!

Lovely and Convenient …
This well appointed gem was a highlight of our trip to Paris. The view of the Bastille monument and surrounding square is amazing. It was a wonderful place to meet Paris from. I will be back if!

A characterful apartment with amazing views
We loved the Bastille apartment, the view from the lounge is fantastic. Paul gave us a very friendly welcome and had prepared the apartment well for us. It is perfect for a family and right invhhe heart of Paris.. We'd love to come back!

Great location!
Fabulous location. Comfortable clean apartment. Shops and restaurants nearby as well as metro and buses. Excellent view of Place de Bastille. Loved the open air market on Sunday snd Thursday where we bought almost all out food when dining at home. Soundproof windows make the apartment quiet and comfortable.

Fun well appointed apartment
Owner was fantastic to communicate with. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking/dining supplies The rental is in a noisy high traffic area, but high windows silence the apartment. Loved our stay!

Great apartment, fantastic location
We loved this spacious, quirky triangular apartment STEPS from the metro & bus stop & fresh produce market (Thursday). The location on Place de Bastille meant many handy cafes, boutiques, and mini markets. We lived like locals (well, locals who tour every day!) and slept & showered well. Be warned there are 2 showers and 3 sinks but only one toilet. That was a surprise to us (may have been evident on the floor plan) but not a problem. Dishwasher, microwave, oven, limitless hot water, big fridge (for Europe) & lots of space made for a very happy stay in this lovely apartment, clearly home to a sweet, book-loving, plant-loving family. We would love to come back!

Perfect location for a Paris visit with family!
Delightful apartment with 3 bedrooms, two had bunk beds. Fully stocked - even with kids books and toys. It was a bit noisy at night but it was Holiday weekend. Lovely stay. Very comfortable!

Fantastic Flat in Great Area
This beautiful flat has huge windows with unimpeded views of the Genie of Freedom atop the Column in Place Bastille, right from the comfy living room couch! All the energy and activity of this buzzing area of Paris right at your doorstep, along with Bus and Metro stops a few steps out the door to quickly get you to all the other must do things in Paris. Lovely bedding, plenty of pillows, on firm mattresses. 2 showers with great pressure and hot water aplenty. Kitchen equipment very, very nice. Warm welcome from Paul who met us at the apartment and quick and pleasant communications with Jill. In short, an absolutely fabulous choice for our stay in Paris!! Can't wait to come back again.

Great stay!
The host was communicative and thorough in answering questions. The neighborhood was great, really close to transit and lots to do and eat. Beds were comfortable, apartment was cozy and felt like a home. It made our weeklong stay in Paris feel so welcoming! We were three adults and one child, and it never felt too crammed. I would absolutely stay here again!

Good location and good for kids
Good location with Windows opening to Place de la Bastille. Metro station within steps. It was a busy area and not exactly quiet, but convenient. We used the washing machine and the apartment had 2 bathrooms with showers, a plus in small Paris apartments. The street market next door was fun and lively. Jeanne was helpful and responsive and the house was very livable. Would stay again.

Ein Juwel in Paris
Die Wohnung ist ein Juwel. Ich habe noch nie eine solch schöne und gutausgestattete Wohnung als Ferienwohnung erlebt. Es ist ein Palast! Hinzukommt, dass sie in Mitten von Paris liegt und alles nahezu fußläufig zu erreichen ist. Und wenn man mit der Metro fahren möchte, findet man diese direkt vor der Tür. Der Blick auf die Bastille ist unbezahlbar und trotz des Verkehrs ist diese Wohnung ruhig. Wir hörten kaum Straßenlärm. Und die Gastgeberin ist auch ein Jewel. Immer zu erreichen und schnelle geantwortet. Sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Fazit: Es war ein rundum wundervoller Aufenthalt und für die Kinder, die das erste Mal in Paris waren, ein unvergessliches Erlebnis...und für uns Erwachsene natürlich auch! :)

Casa storica Mon Amour
Eravamo un gruppo di 5 amici e siamo stati in questo magnifico appartamento in stile Haussmann il weekend di metà maggio per festeggiare i nostri 50 anni. Ci siamo tutti trovati veramente molto bene e confermo la descrizione data nell'annuncio. Abbiamo apprezzato tante cose: la disponibilità di Jeanne nel farci appoggiare i bagagli subito al nostro arrivo prima dell'ora prevista per il check-in e di lasciarli in deposito oltre l'orario del check-out, lo stile e l'ampiezza della casa, la grande comodità ai mezzi pubblici, il silenzio della casa nonostante sia affacciata su una zona altamente trafficata (ma le finestre sono molto isolanti), la macchina caffè espresso per la colazione, i fiori freschi sul tavolo che ci hanno dato il benvenuto ed i comodi letti. E' chiaro come l'appartamento non sia solo ad esclusivo uso turistico come siamo abituati in Italia e quindi con pochi ed essenziali elementi d'arredo, ma che quando non affittato sia vissuto dai proprietari e quindi con anche la presenza delle loro cose personali, come se si fosse ospiti in casa di amici. Casa consigliatissima!!

Schöne Wohnung in toller Lage
Sehr schöne Wohnung direkt an einem der schönsten Plätze in Paris, direkt am Eingang zur Metro Bastille, 3 Minuten von der Place des Vosges. Sehr angenehmer Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, sehr gut ausgestattet, alles sehr unkompliziert und problemlos. Wir (5 Frauen zwischen 55 und 76) haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Magnifique hébergement
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Paris dans l'appartement de Jeanne. Bien situé, clair, chaleureux, il répondait à toutes nos attentes. Nous étions, mon mari et moi, avec trois de nos petites-filles qui ont adoré le temps passé dans l'appartement. En plus, métro et bus se trouvent au pied de l'immeuble, ce qui permet de se déplacer dans Paris très facilement. Quartier sympa avec, en prime, le marché juste à côté le dimanche matin. Schöne Wohnung in toller Lage
Die Wohnung ist in einem typischen Pariser Altbau, mit Stuck an der Decke, einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Place de la Bastille, direkt an der Metrostation und in der Nähe von vielen Restaurants. Die Lage ist spitze. Und die Wohnung selbst wunderschön! Wir verbrachten zu siebt drei Tage dort und hatten genügend Platz. Alles Nötige ist vorhanden und die Vermieterin half bei allen Fragen gerne und schnell weiter.
