Its not the type of place you would go for a relaxing getaway! It's a quaint little pub with about 6 hotel rooms. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both were very good. We enjoyed two delicious dinners as well as breakfasts while visiting. Our room could have been a little more spacious, but the bed was comfortable. There was no room service the second day . All the staff were most friendly. The room was beautiful and very clean with everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat in the evening but the breakfast was excellent and staff were so friendly and helpful. Nice spacious room with great food and staff down at the bar restaurant. The pub serves delicious traditional pub fare, and the full Cornish breakfast in the morning is excellent. My room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I had everything I could need. The staff were extremely kind when I wound up breaking a bone in my foot while on a walk in the nearby fields. They kindly provided me with a giant bag of frozen peas - the perfect thing to ice my foot. I was lucky to stay on an evening when the award-winning local men's choir was practicing next door. They popped in after rehearsal for some snacks and a pint and broke into some of the most lovely impromptu singing - an unexpected treat. You know you are in a good place when it is filled with locals daily. It's perfect for any length of stay, with excellent access to all Cornwall offers.
