First, let me say the photos on this listing do not do this property justice. The house is fine. It smallish and it has its rough edges, but the front glass windows and the deck more than make up for any blemishes. From the moment you walk in, the beauty of the view and the lake give validation to why you booked the house in the first place.
The lake is a walk down a slope. If you have young children or older people, this will be difficult. We did it with two adults, and three kids (9, 7, 4), and everyone was fine. Make sure you bring rugged shoes to get up and down the hill. We made use of the kayaks and some of the pool noodles. They also have paddle boards for guest use.
The kitchen isn’t fancy, but it got the job done. We mostly used the grill for dinner and lunch. There’s a smart TV, Internet, and some board games, but we spent most of our time down by the water.
While all of the above the was crux of the trip, the darkness of the night sky and the house was something to behold. You could see stars that you could never see in the city. And when the house goes dark, it’s pitch black. It’s a little disconcerting, but it’s also kind of special, especially if you’ve never experienced something like that before. We had the best sleep ever.
All in all, we loved our stay and we will do it again.
