Great View
We enjoyed our stay at Lakehills. The view is incredible and even though the water level was low (which we were told ahead of time), we had a great time at the house, walking through the area and watching a lot of deer. We also drove up to Bandera, TX which was also a lot of fun.

Wonderful Weekend
We are return visitors. Since our last stay, the owners have made a number of updates; updated bathroom with walk-in shower, new beds (comfy foam mattresses), fresh paint throughout, and new laundry machines. Jeff was an attentive host. The lake level is low due to draught, but we were able to use the kayaks provided at the property and enjoy the lake. The views remain wonderful and we enjoyed the deer.

Groovy house with amazing views and private lake access.
We have been a few times and always enjoy. The lake was really low this year and you could still get in the water from the dock, it's one of the deepest parts of the lake. The balcony is great, sunset views, deer everywhere. Very peaceful, we will be back.

Great Trip
Very peaceful property and beautiful views. House was clean and well decorated compared to most small lakehouses you find. We enjoyed the wildlife in the mornings and even though it is only at about 10% levels right now, it still made for a nice view. My only suggestion would be to bring your own groceries into town! Hope to return!

Memorial Weekend Trip
Amazing house, with everything you need but forgot to pack. 😂 Very clean. Only issue was the hike down to the water because the lake is so low but that was made clear upon booking so it was expected. Will definitely come back.

Great Host !!
We arrived to find a SPECTACULAR view and the natural beauty of the lake area. Next Morning had visitors ( 10 Deer ) which we fed corn from the deck. Everyone loved this !! We returned to the cabin at 8pm Saturday evening, and the A/C had stopped working during the day, and it was over 85 degrees inside.. Jeff (our host) was called and I explained how uncomfortable the heat was, and he was able to send a repairman that evening, and it was repaired quickly. Thank You JEFF !! so our stay was Beautiful, Peaceful and Comfortable...

Arguably the best view in Texas!
The view from this property is absolutely breathtaking! My husband & I enjoyed our stay immensely, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. The lake levels were low at 28% , so the dock was difficult to access (we are in our 40s and relatively active - we had to climb vertically on all 4s to access.) The low water levels added breathtakingly beautiful rocky canyon walls to the already- amazing landscape, you are definitely staying here for the incredible view that you see from the convenience of the floor to ceiling windows in the house and the awesome porch. Bring your camera - every single picture you take will be amazing. Abundant deer (they are EVERYWHERE) add to the charm. We had a great time reconnecting here, and the owner was very accommodating when we requested a late checkout so we could enjoy a little more time here. Driveway was a little tricky to back into on the curvy mountain road - the views alone made everything well worth it.

Would love to stay again soon.
Bedsheets were fresh and clean! The place needs some updates but that did not affect our stay. We were able to cook our thanksgiving dinner and really enjoyed waking up and having our coffee to the amazing view. Our dog was allowed to stay with us and that made us súper happy.

Breathtaking views
The property was very easy to get to. Communication with property was was great! We had trouble getting the key out, but a quick call to the property owner and we got in no problem. Property was very clean with beautiful views of the lake. The patio is amazing to sit on early in the morning up until late afternoon since the sun sets and you can feel the Texas heat. King size bed was extremely comfortable. We slept one night in the other bedroom with our newborn, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and noisy. I say noisy because every time my husband or I moved, we woke up our newborn from her pack and play. The walk to the lake was no problem for my husband and I, but carrying our newborn and 78 year old mother in law, it was quite the trek. Once at the water, we were able to cool down. Overall I would definitely recommend this property.

The house is very nice, we had a good time, only that who ever cleans the house needs to pay more attention on details. Some spots were dirty in the kitchen including dishes and appliances.

Lovely home and beautiful view
This beautiful home was perfect for my little family! We enjoyed the balcony view of the lake! The lake was wonderful as well. We enjoyed the doc and swan all day till night time. Every area in the house was clean and decorated so cute! We look forward for my trips to this home! First time at Medina Lake
The drive up to the house was scenic. The home itself is very well kept and spacious for a family of four. Our host provided a couple of kayaks, paddle boards, as well as life jackets and we had a blast learning to use the equipment. Water was cool and clear and the floating dock provided great cannon ball fun. Several local eateries to choose from and all were reasonably priced and good food. Overall a memorable experience.

The most beautiful home with breathtaking views. The whole back wall is windows looking over the water and it is stunning. The wraparound porch is perfect for sitting out and taking the views in and the house has everything you need to be fully comfortable and happy. A bit steep/rocky getting down to the dock but not a problem at all. I had the best few days here, perfect for a relaxing retreat

The views here were incredible and the cabin was cute, cozy and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Caught a smallmouth and largemouth bass from the dock. Also went paddle boarding on the lake. We would definitely book a weekend away at this cabin again.

Indeed a spectacular view...
Overall a nice, relaxing experience with terrific sunset views from a porch overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, the lake level was low, making the walk down an already steep and unfinished path to the boat dock quite difficult. While being a good place for most people, a lack of security railings around the front steps, the steep driveway, and of course the path make it less than suitable for children, elderly, handicapped, etc. Communications with the owner were prompt and good. The house itself is tastefully furnished, the appliances and housewares were in good order, and the wifi was very modern.

What a view!
We spent a lot of our time on the porch, it's such a fantastic view. We saw 7 or 8 shooting stars the nights we were there, and just playing "I Spy" with all the boats and animals was a lot of fun. The lake was super peaceful given we travel later in the season when everyone else has already hung it up for the year. We went kayaking for the first time here, and my wife can't wait to do it again - The kitchen was well stocked with spices, condiments, and utensils so we just had to bring the food. The grill had plenty of gas - we didn't have to leave the property once we were there. The bedrooms and bathroom are a bit dated, but clean - plenty of natural light wakes you up in the morning (my wife grumbles at that, but I love it) and as soon as you wake up to that main loft view everything else melts away.

Beautiful place, perfect lake getaway!
We are repeat customers and always love staying at this cozy lakefront property. The wrap around deck provides for hours of beautiful lake gazing, star gazing, sunset watching and relaxing. We can easily walk down to the water and the owners provide plenty of kayaks, stand up boards and a canoe to help us explore the lake. And the water is perfectly clear. Great birthday getaway
First, let me say the photos on this listing do not do this property justice. The house is fine. It smallish and it has its rough edges, but the front glass windows and the deck more than make up for any blemishes. From the moment you walk in, the beauty of the view and the lake give validation to why you booked the house in the first place. The lake is a walk down a slope. If you have young children or older people, this will be difficult. We did it with two adults, and three kids (9, 7, 4), and everyone was fine. Make sure you bring rugged shoes to get up and down the hill. We made use of the kayaks and some of the pool noodles. They also have paddle boards for guest use. The kitchen isn’t fancy, but it got the job done. We mostly used the grill for dinner and lunch. There’s a smart TV, Internet, and some board games, but we spent most of our time down by the water. While all of the above the was crux of the trip, the darkness of the night sky and the house was something to behold. You could see stars that you could never see in the city. And when the house goes dark, it’s pitch black. It’s a little disconcerting, but it’s also kind of special, especially if you’ve never experienced something like that before. We had the best sleep ever. All in all, we loved our stay and we will do it again.

Our stay at this home was excellent. My only complaint is with Homeaway. In order to send an email to the owner, it had to be done through my Homeaway account which would not work. When I tried to use online technical support, I couldn't get a response. Fortunately, the owner gave me his phone number a few days before and I was able to reach him. The home was perfect for a our small group of four. The best part was the view from the deck. It's central location on the lake was also a plus.

The house was perfect for our family of four. It was well stocked with everything from paper goods, to extra sheets, kitchen gadgets and water toys for the lake. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful. Jeff was very helpful when I accidentally booked the wrong weekend and he got it changed the next day without any fuss. This is the perfect lake house, for that quiet getaway, to relax and decompress. We booked Jeff's lake house last minute to enjoy the last remaining days of summer before our boy's school year started. The views from the back deck and from inside the house overlooking the lake are just amazing. Our two boys fully enjoyed the use of the two kayaks and SUP boards. There is a new and larger floating dock that is perfect for swimming with its own swim ladder. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for dog walks with plenty of deer to see, even during the day. Has a great view. However, the property inside was dirty and the pier was not usable.
The property could be really amazing if it was CLEAN. Top of refrigerator was filthy. Refrigerator inside was filthy. Stove has no handle to open it. The furniture was tatty and torn. And the living room has multiple cobwebs in corners with dust bunnies. The most frustrating factor was that the pier was not functional. That was the whole reason we chose that property so we could fish off of the pier. When we informed the owner he wasn’t in any hurry to fix it as the person who repaired it showed up at dusk on our last evening there. Not impressed by this at all. The good points: nice view, great balcony and good A/C. However, definitely won’t return to this property again.

Your visit coincided with historical rains and flooding in Central Texas, we're sorry that the needed repairs to the dock interfered with your enjoyment of the property.
