![Citadel Počitelj, a 14th-century castle in Počitelj, Bosnia & Herzegovina. This fortress was built by King Tvrtko I of Bosnia in 1383 and is impressive to see in person! Počitelj is a village in Čapljina municipality, which is in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The historic site of Počitelj is located on the left bank of the river Neretva, on the main Mostar to Metković road, and it is about 30 km. to the south of Mostar.

The village is built in a natural karst amphiteatre along the Neretva river. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. “This place is absolutely wonderful. It’s right in the Old Town and just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Stari Most bridge everything is truly close and easy to reach. The room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely balcony that made the stay even more special. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, adding so much warmth to the experience. Honestly, I left with the feeling of wanting to come back. It was a magical stay definitely the perfect place to stay in Mostar.”

"This place is absolutely wonderful. It’s right in the Old Town and just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Stari Most bridge everything is truly close and easy to reach. The room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely balcony that made the stay even more special. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, adding so much warmth to the experience. Honestly, I left with the feeling of wanting to come back. It was a magical stay definitely the perfect place to stay in Mostar."

"Location of this pension is excellent, it is right in the middle of the action, yet quite enough to have a good sleep. Beautiful view from our room, which was clean and spacious; we had a suite type of room with the living room separated from the bedroom. We didn't get to try the ice cream, but it is a very nice touch. Bed is very comfortable. The host is super nice. If you arrive by car, it's a little bit tricky since it is a cobblestone pedestrian street in which the pension has a special permit, but you can go ahead and drive slowly through it. Small parking spots, but I found it very manageable; still if you have difficulties, host is always willing to help. It was definitely a great stay. "
