“A perfect stay and will definitely be back. Easy check in, the rooms, 1 and 2, were fantastic and great for the dogs. The facilities in the room were everything we needed. “Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. ”

If I had to ask the hotel to do better on a few things it would be this: 1. The sinks sit on the table in the bathroom, and hard to clean behind, so it looks like the cleaners just don't bother. Desperately needs a deep clean. 2. Doors and windows in my room didn't lock properly. I did report it, but they……

“The bathroom had mold. The ceiling tiles are broken. The room really needs a refurb. The main door is broken and sometimes doesn't open or opens very slowly. I've stayed at much better maintained premier inns in the past so this was a huge disappointment.”

“Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.”

“Food was wonderful. Room was very clean, with a lovely tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. They have an information pack in the room that gives all relevant information. They have information available for walks in the local area. It is in the middle of nowhere, so use the restaurant if here for a night. ”

“It was a nice place and clean until we pulled the sofa bed out and it was dirty, a quick hover wouldn't have done it any harm. Overall its a nice place to stay, we did try and phone the numbers given to inform of the condition of the sofa bed however not one number was answered, we ended up getting the caretaker, who was 100% helpful”

“The good points are that the room was clean and hotel central. The bad points are that the hotel is very run down and nothing like the website photos. The furniture is old and cheap. The mattresses so soft they offer no support. The facilities are minimal. Staff sullen and grudging. Avoid as much better hotels & inns available. ”
