The room was very clean and nice. Looks like it had been newly-renovated. Lots of nice amenities, like a good fridge, coffee maker and very nice shower gel and shampoo.

Quiet overnight until traffic starts up in the morning (its next to a highway). Nice warm room in the winter, hot shower, nice toiletries, free coffee. Great for a quick overnight.

Value was OK considering price of other motels in the area. Room was not as clean as most motels but not terrible. Room heat was weak and the shower plumbing had an issue and was marginally functional.

Microwave didn't rotate causing heating pad to burn hole in pad. Freezer needed cleaning. Tub drain cover not screwed down and sink didn't have a plug for sink. The tub had a crack and toilet seat was cracked.. Both looked liked original. No closet to hang clothes. When I asked they said to hang on shower curtain rod. The door and windows were drafty. Would never stay again. Please remove from your list. It's the worst place I stayed in. To register I had to wait at the window (cold/windy) for 10 minutes while they checked in. They said rooms had been renovated. It looked like they weren't finished.

Avoid this place
The walls were so thin I could hear the neighbors talking all night. There was a broken microwave that didn’t work and the toilet seat was dirty when I got there. There is no lobby you check in through a window outside. The bed was creaky and made noise when you moved. There were no extra sheets at all and the heating was poor. I would not stay here again, and I don’t recommend you do either.

So-so
We paid for a King bed but evidently there was a plumbing problem, so we were given what they called 'the best they had' two queen beds. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The AC/heater sounded like it was arcing, so we didn't use it. We had to ask for pillow cases because all they had on the pillows was the shams that matched the bedspread. Thank goodness we had our own, because the soaps and shampoos were rancid smelling. The sheets, towels and wash cloths never saw bleach. The tv remote didnt work. Asked for a new one and that one only turned on the cable but not the tv. We had to turn it on manually. This hotel is ok if you need a place for one night, and it is very convenient to the highway, restaurants and stores. We will not be staying here again for any length of time. We'd rather pay the extra for a nicer, more comfortable room. You almost get what you pay for here!

I have stayed here many times in non smoking rooms last night stayed in a smoking room and there were cockroach they would not put us in different room would not give me my money back not happy at all I have pictures of it so as well

The staff were very nice, the rooms were ok but were dirty. Their attention was good and balanced the poor clean. I am sure they can do a better job cleaning the rooms better.

It was ok but won’t ever stay here again. It smelt like cigarettes when we first walked in our room with no smoking room. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom. It seemed like they didn’t double check to make sure things were clean. Dusty and finger prints on tables. Room have paper thin walls and you can hear everyone. There was someone passed out at night laying in front of their door. Pretty outside but different on the inside

Decent clean room
Room was clean and spacious. A bit pricey, but nice to have courtesy snacks. Passage in front of bed was very narrow, had to step sideways. But other than that, very nice room.

We were in a renovated room which was quite comfortable. Renovations are in progress, so you have to drive around the back, which feels a little dark isolated at night, it one you are around the front everything is well lit and I felt very safe.

The worst stay ever: no closets, dirt on every furniture, stained armchairs, greasy microwave, stained towels, no normal size towels, defectives toilet, faucet and dirty and outdated sink, toilet and bath. Only the location is good.

Saw previous reviews. Wanted to give benefit of the doubt. I made the wrong choice. Upon entering the room, there wasn't a "fresh" smell. The bathroom floor was sticky from the urine all over the floor and could see where someone MAY had taken a wet wipe, and the smell of urine was quite heavy. The bed sheets had stains. My family and I agreed we slept, and when we woke up, we left as fast as we could. I was very disappointed with this place and I will not be back again. It was a waste of money for the few hours we slept there. I advise people to do more research and see what else you can find before using this place. Decent people at the front desk.

I hate to be the person to write a negative review but the first room they put me in had hair in the shower, dirt and hair on the floor and red lipstick on the comforter. I kindly asked for a new room. The second room also had a dirty floor and what looked like a giant dog stain on the comforter. The best part of the second room, was the woman working asked if I wanted a broom to sweep… After expressing my concerns (through exhausted tears) there was no remedy and I left. They REFUSED my refund request even though I didn’t stay at the property. The Anchorage Inn of Rochester, in a way, stole $500 from me. I plan to post this review on as many avenues as possible because the unfairness and treatment here was unreal.

You checked in & got newly renovated rooms. Our staff found no issues in the room upon checking after your complain, but You were offered to get a different room upon your request to change the room, the dirt on the floor was an issue that could have been fixed in a matter of 5 minutes, BUT you denied to stay & asked for refund! Our staff NEVER offered you a broom to clean,that is NOT true... As per the policy, we cannot refund at last moment. If the issue was something that was unfixable in few minutes, yes, we could have, but your issue was not. We did not "steal" your money, it was your decision to not to stay in the room.

This motel was a pleasant surprise. We stayed there because Ogunquit was sold out. Not luxurious, but adequate. It was clean and the customer service was very friendly. One great thing is we found the food places around there to be excellent. Forgot their names, but the Mexican place, My Cielo Taqueria, for dinner and nearby restaurant, Brickstones, for breakfast were wonderful. We would go there again.

This place was horrible! It was all boarded up. trash all out front. Reservations had to be done because of BED BUGS. Poor representation on Expedia. Thank goodness Expedia gave me back my money and gave me extra points
