It was okay
Posted Aug 23, 2017The hotel staff was great but the hotel itself was a bit dissapointing especially after an awesome stay at a BW in Branson, MO. My first room had an air conditioner that sounded like an idling bus. They replaced it with one that rattled and stunk so bad it gave me a headache. Room two was good. Both rooms had exceptionally loud plumbing. Both were also on the west side so you constantly heard the traffic on I-90. It is a very long hotel making a long walk to the pool. The pool is large with the deepest point being 5ft in the middle and shallower toward both ends. It has two hot tubs and a nice monitored waterpark area for young kids.
Overall my stay was okay but I was hoping for more after my last stay at a BW. If you have young kids they will like the waterpark. It also has plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.
In hindsight I should have stayed in Hill City. It was closer to the things we did and it looked and felt like a nice little town in the hills.

Posted Aug 23, 2017We stayed here overnight on a road trip. The pool was nice for the kids to have a break from the car ride. The location right off the interstate was great. Our meal was wonderful at Minervas. The room itself was fine.

Pros: Location
Location: TransCanada highway!
On a heaviliy travelled route across Canada, it is a relief to find a comfortable night at a BW. We can always count on these properties.

Cons: CONTROL ON HOT TUB
VERY CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF. ENJOYED THE POOL, HOT TUB, AND WATER PARK. THE HOT TUB WAS VERY HOT, AND NO WAY TO TURN IT DOWN. OTHERWISE EVERY THING WAS EXCELLENT.

Good hotel, rooms look recently updated. Cleaning staff were very friendly and made up the room daily as expected. The hotel is centrally located to all tourist points of interest. Starbucks, restaurants, gas stations within walking distance or on hotel property. The water park is amazing and anyone with kids would be silly not to stay here!

There were dead bugs all over in our kitchen area. Staff at the front were very kind, I asked one of the housekeepers if she could ask someone to turn on the waterpark area and she told me to go find someone from maintenance. Very unhelpful and not so kind.
