“Our room smelled like a sewer. I believe it was coming from the drain in the shower. We also found a large spider and roach in the bathroom. The lady at the front counter was VERY rude when I went to check out this morning. She said she received several phone call complaints about our dogs barking and didn't have a phone number to call us. We stepped out for less than an hour for breakfast and I have an Expedia account that should have my phone number attached, not to mention they should have……

“Hotel was nice and clean on the inside of the rooms. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable, checked in within 5 minutes. (which I appreciate) Only issue I had was trying to find a drink, they have 1 drink machine outside and all it has is warm Pepsi. Other than that, I'd stay there again any day.”

“The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area. The Innkeeper (Erin) is a fantastic and helpful aspect of your experience, too. Highly recommended!!”

“The rooms don't have coffee makers in them. Considering the age of the hotel, and rustic nature of the building and rooms, I believe the price is a bit too high. I believe the cost should be about half of what they actually are. I don't mind the rustic style of the rooms and hotel, because I'm a no frills kind of person anyway, I'm just saying that the quality doesn't match the price.”

“Room was clean. There was no toilet paper holder, no in room coffee maker. It looked like they were trying to do some renovation. Overall it was an ok experience.”

“We had the most pleasant stay at the Laurel Hotel. The staff there were very knowledgeable about the town. They recommended different places to eat and visit. The room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. I plan on staying there again when we visit Danville.”

“Need better parking for trucks with attached trailer. Parked next door, which looked like your over flow parking area that had zero no parking signage & my truck & trailer was towed & & they extorted $1100 in cash to retrieve it. A total scam by McDonalds. Unfortunately I will never eat in a McDonalds in the future & I won’t be staying there again due to the parking issue. I travel that way a few times per year seeking an overnight. Never again.”

“The room I had although clean it was falling apart. Door knobs falling off shower to small and falling apart .ac worked good bed was funkie clean just felt weird like if I weren't exactly in the middle I would fall off. For the money and location I will stay again .”
