We chose Hotel Isa primarily because it offered the unique feature of what it calls “family connecting rooms.” We have a large family of seven and we loved the flexibility this option gave us. One thing to note, however, is that the rooms don’t actually “connect” — they are two entirely separate rooms adjacent to each other. We had three of these family rooms which actually meant we had six separate rooms on three separate floors. It didn’t really make a difference to us since all of our family members are adults but if we had younger children or teens it might have been disappointing because the rooms don’t share a connecting door. At any rate, we could not have loved this hotel more! Its location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Rome. Whether it was the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Colosseum, or the shopping district, everything was within a 15-30 minute walk. On the days we chose not to walk, the hotel staff was happy to arrange transportation for us. Another highlight was the rooftop bar which features so prominently in the hotel’s online photos. Each morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast up there with a gorgeous view of the city (St. Peter’s Bascilica is very nearby too) and each night we gathered at the rooftop bar for limoncello spritzes and snacks under the stars. The bartender was wonderful and took such great care of us! We highly recommend Hotel Isa!
