If comparing this property location with the one in Palms Spring; I give it a 4/5. We got lucky finding street parking about a block away! The pool was a bit small but my boyfriend enjoyed it more; made it feel more intimate. The drinks were amazing! We had some issues with the food at the main level. But our server ( sorry didn't catch his name) took care of it and even provided us w/ a free drink to make up for the issue. Check in process went quick and smooth. The lady was very welcoming and we even got a 50 credit for food// drinks due to us staying for my boyfriends birthday.

The hotel including our room was in very good condition. The location is excellent for short walks to bars and restaurants in the Gaslamp quarter and Petco Park being literally just around the block. Our only negatives are the views from our room looked directly on to the rooms of an adjacent hotel and for privacy we had to keep one of the curtains closed for most of the time. My only other negative comment would be regarding the pool deck. It’s very small and the number of sun loungers is very limited. We never once managed to get one at the start of the day as they were all taken. This could be helped by taking away the cabanas which for most of the time that we were there lay empty. If they were removed the hotel could add another row of 10 sun loungers or possibly even 2!!!

A block from PETCO Park, lots of restaurants around, the hotel is a very laidback vibe, outdoor rooftop patio that serves food and drink. The rooms were very clean.

Urine smell everywhere. Wake up, urine. Afternoon, urine. Night time urine smell everywhere. Never had staff exhange towels or clean. Would have been better sleeping on the street. Same experience, big price difference

Hotel is absolutely awesome! Rooms and location are fantastic. Pool deck and bar was nice (although limited poolside seating). Staff was helpful, but the parking (valet especially) was horrible... again (as this was the 2nd time I stayed at Margaritaville and both times the wait for valet was way too long).
