Question
The state was lovely however we had to cut our vacation short due to a death in the family. We left a day earlier and I've been trying to contact someone about a possible refund can someone please contact me?

Almost Paradise
Views and yard were spectactular but there was trouble in paradise. The neighbors dogs barked often and sometimes through the night, their rooster started crowing at 3:00, the showers looked great but water came out of everywhere but the head, thelarge sliding glass door had a gap underneath and tons of bugs came in at night, appliances were old didn't work well.

DISAPPOINTMENTS
There were two issues that were not great about the property or stay there. One is that it had many termites and when you had lights on inside the property they were all over the place. Plus many ants inside the house at night. There was a shower problem and the maintenance person came in and fixed it somewhat...the water came out a little better but not great. Outside of those two issues it was a beautiful place and would consider staying there again if these issues were corrected.

Absolutely perfect
We rented this property while we wanted to visit Alajuela, San Jose and Poas/La Paz. It was a short drive to all these locations (less than 1h) so this house was perfect. It was a bit big for us as we were only 2 but the location was great. It is in a small, quiet neighborhood and there’s a market with everything you may need just down the road. It’s also close to ‘La Fiesta del Maiz’ which has great local food options for a really cheap price. If we were to go back in this area, we would probably rent this property again.

Peaceful & Recharging
This was our second stay at this property. It fits our family needs perfectly and is such a beautiful location. It would be great to see the kitchen faucet updated and a full set of pots and pans but otherwise we love the area and great communication with the owner and property manager. We look forward to returning next year!

Be open minded
The manager of this property or owner was awesome he did everything to make us feel home and what not. But the property isn't what the pictures project. We ran into more than a few issues that he was willing to deal with but my group was not. I would say if you're just looking to lay your head and go go go then you're fine but if you're looking to lounge at the property and get in the pool and enjoy the garden that didn't happen. Again this is nothing about the owner as he was awesome but this place is a 3 star at best if I am being honest like I wish someone would have been as we read the comments before.

Centrally Located but Private
We really enjoyed our stay. Having been to Costa Rica many times, we wanted to be located closer to San Jose instead of the Pacific Coast. We knew it was the rainy season but it only rained late in the day. In fact we had sun every morning until mid afternoon . It would be a great home for a family or group. Plenty of room and close to great restaurants and ease of shopping. Victor is a most gracious host and kept us informed of any projects or maintenance that was scheduled. We give the home 5 stars and will return on another trip to CR. Pure Vida!

A wonderful week

Nos gusta mucho la propiedad, es muy linda, hay mucho que hacer (piscina, pool, futbol, etc.) Es tranquila. Es la segunda vez, que vamos. Solo un consejito, deben darle un poco más de mantenimiento a la casa en sí, sobretodo a los muebles (tienen comején) y se les puede dañar

My family of 5 (including small kids) had an amazing time. The property manager and grounds keeper were always a text away. Jason!! You are the best! Always showed up when I needed help with a question. We used the pool and soccer field on a daily bases. We used Luz on several occasions to cook for our family (delicious food, spread and they cleaned up all the dishes after) I guess the only thing I can complain about were the neighbors dogs. They barked all the time. But nonetheless the grounds are amazing! Thank you for such a great experience Victor!

Simple and beautiful
The property is beautiful, once you find it the first time it’s easy to get back to. Everyone from the property owner to the gardener was extremely nice and helpful. The only downside is the bathrooms, bring shower shoes and keep in mind it’s the rain forest. But other that that the pictures don’t lie it’s breathtaking.

Great little getaway spot
This is such a wonderful place to take the family, friends and have a chill time with lots of opportunities to have a little party around the pool area or the “ranchito” with the pool table and bbq set up. The unique and pleasant noise comes from the rare wild life all around us. Secluded from the city chaos but close enough to go visit. The wife and kids loved it. Thank you so much, we hope to come back soon!

Beautiful property
The property is beautiful! Absolutely love love the outside, landscaping, pool, & patio area. Victor was amazing he helped us with a decorator & a caterer for my birthday. The only downside to the stay was the water in the showers not getting hot & the cleanliness & out dating of the bathrooms (spider webs in the corners & the showers could use a good scrub). Other than that 5 stars

Pool, Pool Table, BBQ and Soccer Field what more do you need!
I found it hard to believe all of those amenities were for a single property, but they are! This property is by far the best value I’ve seen in the area and trust me I looked at them all. My wife and I took some of extended family for a short vacation. We live about 30 minutes away and found the property very easy to get to and not far off the main highway. Victor (owner) met us early and showed us around the property. He explained how everything worked and left us to it. Everyone loved being in the pool during the day and playing billiards at night. We had everything we need to cook our meals inside, but for lunches and dinners we cooked on the gas BBQ. The kids used the soccer field which had a ball provided. All the rooms have air conditioning which worked very well. The property is surrounded by a 10-foot wall for added privacy and security. The checkout process was super easy. The cleaner was there by 10AM so we were able to pack up and be on our way, but it wasn’t rushed. Would rent this property again!

Maison très bien situer et sécuritaire
Nous avons été accueilli par les propriétaires, très belle accueil ! La communication était facile tout au long du séjour. Nous avons profité du terrain de soccer, table de billard et de la grande piscine! Cuisiner sur le BBQ! Tout y est dans la maison confortable et bien situé! Pour nous c’était pour être près de l’aéroport. Nous avons visité les chutes Los Chorros pour un petit prix de 3000$ colons! Je recommande cette maison

Great for a family Gathering place
The grounds of this home are beautiful. It is perfect children . The soccer fields , jumper , beautiful pool and pool table will keep the kids entertained all day . The outdoor kitchen Is wonderful with comfortable seating for just enjoying the surroundings or having cocktails while the kids play. There is no dishwasher or hot water in the kitchen so paper plates are the only way to go. Out of the three bathrooms only one has barely Luke warm water. Victor did send a maintenance person over to show us how to get the water to lukewarm . The main room in the house is large and spacious. The reason to rent this house is because of the grounds and landscaping. . The gate makes the house very secure. We stayed 3 weeks in this home and visited Lapaz ware falls ( a must) Tabocon thermal resort is amazing. You can spend all day in the volcano heated river and falls . We stayed two weekends one Arenal Resort and Spa and one at Zephyer Palace both out of this world but better for couples . We saw over 30 scarlet MC Caws in the town of Tarcoles on the pacific coast side . Take the time for this. If you drive through the town until the road turns to dirt you will hear them. We saw white faced Monkeys and McCaws in Carara National park. We had a magical time.

About the water in the showers, because the temperature in that area is very stable, we do not use central water heaters, just individual heaters on demand, and they deliver Luke warm water not hot. The property was more than accurate. Victor and his wife stayed pretty late at the property to welcome us and show us all the amenities. They also were easily accessible during our stay for any questions. This truly is an amazing home with FABULOUS grounds! Awesome property!
Where can I start..... Victor & his wife are such lovely people who treat you & make you feel like family! Very easy going & welcoming! This was the 2nd house we rented in CR, and because if the area we were coming from & pissible traffic, Victor didn't think we would arrive at the time we said; but we did & he and his wife were there anyway & the house was ready. They even noticed before we arrived that the coffeemaker was not working and they went & bought a new one right away. Even though it is in a rural setting, the property is very easy to find & very close & easy to get to the airport(appx 15 min). Very convenient & central location for San Jose, Poas, La paz, etc.... The neighbourhood felt very safe & relaxed, not crowded at all. Mini-market 2 min away for anything you might need. Out of the 2 houses we rented, this was by far our favorite one, the backyard was amazing & huge!!....we spent all our at home time there. Our kids loved the pool during daytime & Rancho area in evening (pool table, hammock, sitting area & outdoor kitchen). Outdoor furniture around pool area was updated from what was in the pictures when we booked (which was very nice). Our boys had a great time in the mini soccer field & trampoline. There is one ensuite bathroom from master deroom, one more bathroom inside the house, and a 3rd one accessible from outside (all have a shower). Victor's wife offered to have the cleaning lady come if we wanted, what would we like her to do, and which days & time would we like. We only asked for bathrooms, but we were very pleased to come home and find out everything was spotless! (Mop, dishes, beds, baths & she even folded a load of laundry that I threw on a bed that I didn't have time to do before we left the house) Wonderful service & wonderful people! Thank you for everything, CR is amazing country with lots to see & if we go again to visit what we didn't have time to see (which i hope so) we would definitely come back here before going back home!!

Happy Vacation at La Garita
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at this property. This place was more than we expected, the landscaping was well maintained, the pool was great, the inside of the house was very clean and we had everything that we needed to make our stay very comfortable. The property owner Victor Fernandez assisted us with coordinating transportation from and to the airport which we really appreciated. He was also available to us for any questions. Would Stay Again
Our family of 3 adults and 3 kids enjoyed the stay during the 1st week of August 2019, and were very comfortable in the home. Victor and his wife were welcoming and gave a personal walkthrough of the home and property, which were extremely secure. Everything we needed was provided - from expected items such as linens, pool towels, kitchen appliances and dishes, as well as pleasant surprises such as a water cooler and rain ponchos (which came in handy during a rainy day trip to La Paz Waterfalls). The grounds were amazing; beautiful and serene. Much like a private compound. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and pool table and the kids spent many hours on the soccer field and trampoline. Never a dull moment. Local grocer and major highway are within 5 mins. Walmart and SJO airport are 15 mins away. The only thing that needs to be addressed are ants that make their way into the living room and main bathroom from the outside. Maybe due to rainy season? Anyway, we highly recommend this home and would certainly stay again.

The house with so much extra
This house is amazing! It has kids activities for days, including a pool, trampoline, soccer field, and pool table. Its close to the airport and a wonderful value, i highly recommend it!

Fun Times...
This was just the right property for our family of 6. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. Victor was a great host and very helpful with information about activities and transportation. The pool, soccer field and trampoline were a hit with the kids. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. When traveling back to this part of CR we would look to stay here first.

Thank you Victor the property was beautiful and well maintained. The gardener does a great job. We had the house keeper come one day between our stay she moves so fast and does a wonderful job. We didn’t want to rent a car and victor put us in touch with Alex and Raul. They picked us up from the airport and took us anywhere we wanted to go it was cheaper then a taxi and renting a car for the week. We would rent again so peaceful

This is my first trip out of the States. I could not have asked for a better experience! Victor and his wife are the sweetest people and went above and beyond to make us happy. Inmensamente satisfecha
Este lugar es un sueño. Don Victor y su esposa son la mejor representación de la amabilidad costarricense. El lugar está bien equipado y si no quiere salir a ningún otro lugar, no tiene que hacerlo. El sol y la brisa de la piscina y el rancho es todo lo que se ocupa para pasarlo a todo dar en familia. El a/c en las habitaciones es perfecto. Se duerme bien y sin calor. La propiedad está muy bien cuidada. Fácil de llegar los caminos no están difíciles de manejar y relativamente cerca de supermercados. Sin pensarlo dos veces la rentaria de nuevo.

This property provides everything you need to enjoy the beautiful weather in Costa Rica..there is something for everyone including pool, soccer field and outdoor grill/pool table. Landscaping is immaculate and well taken care of by caretaker. Home is close to airport which made it easy to pick up family also. Owner provided additional items without hesitation.

Fantastic Family Vacation Spot
Our stay from start to finish was a great experience. We are a family of 5 and our 3 kids lived in the pool! Victor is extremely accommodating and is very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed every chance we got to talk with him about Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. We loved the fresh bowl of mangoes (right from the property) waiting for us in the kitchen! The property is immaculate and the property caretaker is there daily making sure it stays that way. The house has absolutely everything you need during your stay. Plenty of dishes and cookware and a nice collection of spices to use. Thank you again for everything, we hope to be back soon!

The property was absolutely gorgeous. It’s quite breathtaking when you first step inside the home.
I loved everything. From the moment we arrived everything about the home was explained to us. They were very thorough in making sure we were comfortable. An amazing location!
My family stayed at this beautiful home and there’s nothing I could say other than it was completely beautiful! The gardens are perfectly maintained and the house is sparkling clean. It has all the amenities that you need to have a peaceful and worry free vacation. Since we were traveling with 4 children, we found the pool, soccer court and WiFi kept them completely busy. Most of all, I can’t express how wonderful the owner Victor and his wife Judy were...they greeted us at our arrival and gave us a full tour. They made us feel like family! We are already planning our vacation for next year and will be definitely staying here.

Gorgeous house and property!!
We stayed here for a friends wedding and had 6 people, it was absolutely perfect! Amazing house with great amenities. Victor and his wife were great hosts, very welcoming and friendly!! Loved it!!!

Wonderful time!

Amazing property and even more amazing hosts
When we first saw the pictures of this property we fell in love with it. However, given one past experience, we were a little concerned about the actual condition of the property as well as hospitality of hosts. I am so glad that this house exceeded all claims made in the listings 🙂. So 5 stars. Allow me to provide some more details below. Location: 5 Star San Jose was our last stop in a 11 day CR vacation. We wanted a place that is rather close to airport as well as downtown but not so close that we can't feel relaxed. This property checked all those boxes. it is located in a rather quiet neighborhood and occasional dog barking notwithstanding (and this interesting sound coming from somewhere outside... kids had a competition to find the cause but were unsuccessful), it was pretty quiet. Facilities. 5 Stars We were 2 families with 4 adults and 4 kids. After experience in some other properties we stayed during earlier part of the vacation, they were looking forward to something that matches their 'home'. And this property gave them more. We could not pull kids out of the gazebo (playing pool) or from the pool. They were playing until midnight and we could hear their giggles all the time. On the inside, there is a great room that allows everyone to congregate together, cook, watch TV, lie leisurely on the couch and just relax the immaculately kept gardens. 3 bedrooms have enough space for 8 people (4 queen size beds) and have AC which actually work 🙂. And 3 bathrooms allows us to get ready on time without anyone banging on the door. Best part: the cleaning lady was on the property 2 days and we were able to ask for her help to get bathrooms cleaned on the spot. Kitchen was pretty well furnished - with 8 sets to serve food in and enough pots/pans to cook in. Nothing like other places we stayed in. Hosts: 7 stars Victor and his wife are amazing hosts. From the moment they welcomed us to the house to the moment they bid us byes, they were gracious and responsive. I was able to get response to my queries with in matter of minutes. Victor is funny and makes you 'home' in no time. He took extra efforts to ensure that we are comfortable, happy and are able to enjoy the home he build with so much love and care (he used to stay here). Overall: excellent finale to our vacation. If /when we are in San Jose area, we would absolutely stay at this property again.

A Little Piece of Paradise
It was a great central location for us wanting to do things up north as well as in San Jose, but feel like we were away from things. The ground are very well kept, and the owners are super nice.

"Best place we have ever stayed" came out of each of our kids' mouths several times during the several days of our stay. The hosts made sure everything was in great working order; they were kind enough to stay late to meet us upon our arrival even though we our flight didn't arrive until late; and they were very responsive before our visit and during our stay if we had any questions. The fact that the home is located a short distance from the hectic traffic and crowds that come with being in and around San Jose made the stay even more enjoyable because we it is close to everything but feels miles from anything. The fact that within 90 minutes we could be at Poas, Cartago, Punta Arenas, San Jose, Jaco or La Paz waterfall (and only a few minutes longer to Irazu) mean it was a perfect place to use as a base toe explore from. That - added to the fact that when we got home in the evening the kids swam and ran off their excess energy on the soccer field while the adults relaxed at the cabana as we grilled and enjoyed perfect sunsets - made it the best vacation stay we've ever had. Would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could.

Stunning grounds and very comfortable home.
We were in Costa Rica for a friend’s wedding. The home was convenient to airport and Uber drivers were quick to respond. The home is quite comfortable but the most fabulous part was the STUNNING property. Complete with manicured grounds, gorgeous plantings, great outdoor cooking/entertaining pavilion, beautiful pool overlooking the mountains and an awesome soccer court. Truly impressive and we spent as much time outdoors as possible. Victor was wonderful to work with and so accommodating. Housekeeper cleaned prior to arrival and again during our four day stay—it was spotless. Thank you again, Victor.

excellent property...amazing hosts
We travel to Costa Rica often and have rented homes in this site multiple times. I have to say this has been by far out most favorite place. This is a very private property with loads of security so you can feel at ease during your time here. The pool was heated so we could use it at any time. We had a small issue with the pool heater which we did not even notice but he owner did and he was quick to get it repaired. The level of attention provided is beyond amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!!!!
The house was beyond Amazing. Everything about it was spectacular. The pool was beautiful day and night time. The Garden around the house brought our the beauty of the home. Victor and his family made our stay in Costa Rica so comfortable for us, we had activities planned out each day. The driver and his daughters were incredible people I recommend that you ask victor for their services they made us feel like family. Less then Expected.
This is a beautiful Property, However there is no Hot Water Except in showers. That only works with very little pressure. So forget rinsing your hair. The Oven didn't work. Tried to use toaster oven, but there were no pans that fit inside. The gate key fob worked half the time. The Dryer made everything smell of mildew. Woke up to internet suspended. He offered one nights stay refund. Nevermind that then beds were so hard and at least 5 dogs barking all night that we stayed 2 nights in a hotel to get some good sleep. Worst VRBO experience ever.

Thank you very much for your comments about the beauty of the property, we did everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Of all the comments we have received, yours is the first negative comment, but I thank you because it will help us improve to provide better service in the future With respect to hot water. The house does not have a centralized system, but each shower has an electric heater, in fact when you called us, a new one was installed in the shower of the outside, so the water would be hotter. With respect to the electric oven, unfortunately, a thunderstorm damaged it and we realized until you wanted to use it. The spare part has already been ordered and in the meantime we have a large portable oven so that future tenants will not have a problem. With regard to the clothes dryer, it is used very often by the cleaning girl, as well as by the clients and until now we received our first comment, it is possible that it has not been given enough time and the right temperature , but anyway we will review it and give it all the attention possible. Regarding the Internet, a company is paid for the service and it goes out of our control when there is a failure, unfortunately it happened when you were, but the company fixed the problem in a short time. Respect with the dogs, we emphasize that we do not have dogs on the property, but some neighbors do, because it is a rural area and they get used to having their pets. It is very difficult to control that, in the same way you are contacting the nearest neighbors to improve this situation. It is a pity that you were the first to have a bad experience in the property, we offer you again apologies.
