I've stayed at this location in the past. The front desk staff remembered me and welcomed me back warmly, which I truly appreciated. Housekeeping and maintenance staff were just also welcoming and friendly. The free parking is genuinely appreciated and the location of the hotels is very convenient and nearby to shops and restaurants. Thank you!

I truly appreciate everyone at this hotel acknowledging me, whether I initiated the greeting or the other way around. I was remembered by the front desk staff who said they recalled the last time I stayed at this location, which was December 2025. They welcomed me with sincerity.

The hotel is going through a renovation. It however wasn't disturbing to us. I took one star away because the breakfast was pretty mediocre. I'm sorry but I have to be honest. The ham and coffee had such a weird taste! My husband who usually eats anything and everything didn't even want to finish his food after tasting mine. Second reason was the AC. Oh my goddess! That thing was so laud, it woke me up every time it turned on! I had a couple of restless nights. Gave them a 4 because of the nice employees, comfortable beds and because the hotel smelled nice and it was clean.

The staff at the front desk always seemed to be genuinely warm and welcoming. I don't always get treated that way and they excellent examples for everyone to emulate, no matter who they are. I lost my cell phone today and I'm far away from home and need to have it for work and business and my personal life. The staff seemed to be very supportive and offered me the best of luck in moving from this point forward. I believe the maintenance staff also make the effort to acknowledge me, which I highly appreciate. Any hotel with staff at least half this good is a winner. I enjoyed and appreciate the free parking and the comfy bed.

Marin Hilltop Hotel, formerly the Four Points San Rafael, is easily my favorite Marin hotel. First, as the name implies, it sits on a hilltop with a great view all around. Second, it is being renovated and the new rooms are really nicely redone. Third, it has a beautiful central courtyard with large pool (with hot tub) surrounded by palm trees. Kids love the pool. Fourth, the lobby and onsite bar & restaurant are good, too, though the breakfast buffet is overpriced. But try to get even-numbered rooms facing inward rather than odd-numbered rooms facing outward toward Highway 101.
