Step away from the hustle of everyday life and into the calm of this secluded country cottage—a peaceful hideaway nestled among majestic 200-year-old oak trees. Located just 5 miles south of downtown Santa Rosa and 2 miles north of Sonoma State University, our private studio offers the best of both worlds: complete tranquility and easy access to local wineries, restaurants, and attractions.

This charming studio cottage is set 100 yards from a private gate, ensuring total privacy and serenity. Large windows at the front and back frame breathtaking views of ancient oaks and fill the space with natural light. Inside, Buddha statues and thoughtful decor create a soft, meditative atmosphere—perfect for relaxing, recharging, or simply enjoying the moment.

The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with a full stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, and Keurig coffee maker. You’re welcome to collect fresh eggs from our free-range chickens for your breakfast. The private bathroom includes a washer and dryer with detergent provided. (Please note: there is no bathtub, only a walk-in shower.)

Our deep well provides clean, fresh water free from chlorine and fluoride—something our guests often appreciate. In the bright and cozy living area, you'll find a comfortable sofa and a peaceful space to unwind.

Lovely stay on a beautiful and peaceful property; the house was clean, beds comfortable, and kitchen well stocked for doing a little cooking instead of eating every meal out!We enjoyed the outdoor area with Adirondack chairs, birds chirping and the cool breeze blowing.Jesse and Lisa were excellent hosts, answering questions about local restaurant options and kindly offering any assistance we might need!

Central Wine Country Location

This is a great little cottage which has everything you need. The full kitchen was great, and the grill was great too. We cooked many meals here to save money on restaurants. The location was perfect to go to Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa wineries. Also, still close enough to go to San Francisco for a day trip. Lisa and Jeese were very good hosts, and the place was a great little retreat.

If you are looking for a place to stay near wine country this is it. Fantastic property with a beautiful small cottage. The property was clean and the hosts were proactive in making sure we were comfortable during our stay. We will return here again for any future visits.

Country Comfort.

This is a nice cottage nestled in the California Live Oaks and with lots of open space around the area. Wild turkeys abound. Good privacy.

We loved our stay at this cottage. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, easily accessible and made sure we were all set. The cottage itself is a large studio with attached bath, perfect for 2. It was very clean, bright and inviting. Would stay here again in a minute.

Perfect Little Retreat

The location just outside of Santa Rosa is perfect for exploring the area. The property is large, safe and we'll kept. A wild kitty cat would always be around to welcome us home or see us off!

Gorgeous Property

We stayed two nights and it was fabulous. Everything was clean, neat, and orderly. They even left us eggs and bottled water in the . The property is on 2.75 acres and yet you’re five minutes from town, perfect location. We saw a deer, wild, turkeys, and owls throughout each day we were there. We met the owners, Jesse and Lisa, and they could not have been nicer people. They went out of their way to accommodate any of our needs. We will stay here again without question.

Birthday in Sonoma County

It was my wife’s 60 birthday and she wanted to go to Sonoma County for the first time. We could not have picked a more perfect location or place to stay. The cottage was exactly as pictured and the hosts had great local knowledge of some of the places we visited while there. We hope to return soon!

Peaceful and comfy!

My wife and I had a conference in Santa Rosa. We wanted a quiet place to "retreat" to after each day's various meetings and sessions. Jesse's and Lisa's cottage was perfect for this. Very convenient location; beautiful surroundings; clean, comfortable digs; and wonderful hospitality. We'll definitely let our friends know about this gem!

Santa Rosa cottage

Comfortable, peaceful retreat. Jesse was friendly and helpful and sent prompt replies. Enjoyed morning coffee listening to birds and watching wild turkeys come in to roost in the trees behind the cottage at night. Private property is close to parks, hiking areas and a short drive to town. Fresh eggs from the chickens were a bonus!
