Amazing value and quality for the price

Posted Mar 25, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Good atmosphere/location/quality/price. They even sent a staff member who spoke english with the driver to pick us up from the airport.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: Up the hill is the main shopping street and the metro to anywhere. A very smart suburb of expensive apartment blocks
Great value, exceeded our expectations for the price. Real 4 star. Helpful friendly staff with pretty good English. After a sauna on the top floor followed by a freezing shower in the special multi ring shower we lay on the sofas as the wind blew the lace curtains feeling like millionaires! Breakfast buffet was the same each day but plenty of variety, nice bread, good quality cheezes, pastries, eggs, all you could want. Good free internet. There is a small bar downstairs but the restaurant was closed when we were there (it was carnival time). It is in a very upmarket suburb of Sao Paulo, felt quite safe walking around at night, there are lots of smart restaurants literally round the corner and a pizza place opposite. Within a few blocks there are Peruvian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian restaurants, some bars, they range from cafe's for breakfast to very upmarket places with Mercedes queued up outside. Its a bit of a steep walk uphill to the nearest metro (next to the Modern Art Gallery) but not far, and its downhill on the way home! Taxis are cheap and there is usually one or two waiting at the hotel door if you don't fancy the walk. Downhill gets you to the parks and statue

Avoid the room service food - awful!

Posted Mar 4, 2016
Very mediocre hotel. More like two and a half stars - a bit pricey - disorganized check in which can be a headache after a 12 hour flight to Brasil. The hallways have a musty odor - the room had a view of an industrial shed below, decent shower strength - crappy old towels - wifi decent - cable good - ac good - bed decent - horrible room service food... Good breakfast, not unusual for a Brasillian hotel.

Nice hotel in good location

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Bedroom a little small for two beds. No good coffee power was available, just soluble coffee for coffee maker. Bathroom not very comfortable, water comes out of the shower wetting whole bathroom. Breakfast a little confusing, lack few items during meals, however it was signs for them. Staff is nice and cordial.

Great hotel in great area.

Great location with tons of great restaurants nearby. Walk 10-20 minutes and you've got all the high-end shopping, restaurants and bars you can imagine. Hotel condition is good to excellent. The housekeeping and front desk staff all very great.
