Amazing people
Incredible customer service, we even had forgotten an expensive diamond necklace and panicked when we realized about an hours’ drive away. The reception found the necklace and kept it safe for our return. Great experience in every way and bless their hearts for securing this important piece for us.

No blackout curtains. Light from outdoor lamps shine in as does the early morning sun. Room was neat and clean but obviously well worn and old.

Wifi kept dropping. A/C is very noisy. Toilet took 5 minutes to fill up. Room was very musty. However, the location is convenient for many activities. The are in the middle of a renovation so maybe some of these issues will be resolved.

Off to the races
We were very pleased with our stay at Comfort Inn at Saratoga Springs. The cost was reasonable, considering it was the heart of racing season. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. The desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. Fortunately/unfortunately, they were in the middle of a large renovation. Although this had no effect on our room, the surrounding vacant rooms were mid renovation. I am sure it will be beautiful when completed. The location is great. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Disappointing - by the hotel and Hotels.com
For the record, I have never once gone out of my way to negatively review a stay - I consider myself easy - I use the hotel to sleep, work out, and for internet. Item 1: The property was undergoing a renovation. Hotels.com made no mention of this. While this was not a big issue for me, I believe Hotels.com should have known and it should be mentioned to patrons looking to book there. Item 2 was the internet, or lack thereof. My iPhone and laptop would not connect. I was provided the internet service provider phone number from the hotel staff, as this apparently is a common occurrence. It took me three phone calls and over 2 hours of my time to get the internet provider to manually add my devices to their network. I have never experienced anything like this - it was literally the only way for me to get basic internet access. Further, in order for my iPhone to connect, a setting had to be turned off (a setting Apple recommends for safety on public wifi connections). Item 3: I grabbed an orange for breakfast and there was a visible mold spot. Things happen, I get it. But adding to the list since I'm makin Item 4: There was no ability to pull the thick curtains together. As a result, no ability to keep sunlight out of the room in the early morning. Pictures of items 3 and 4 are attached. The hotel mentioned a possible refund, but the GM is OOO. I am writing Hotels.com in hopes you all might consider some sort of reimbursement given the facts outlined above.

Mark was awesome. I was super grateful to find a room here during a busy weekend in Saratoga springs. Although there were signs for ongoing construction, they could have fooled me. I had a great stay, and wouldn't hesitate to book a room again. I'm assuming they're updating the rooms? Which means they will probably charge more. IT'S WORTH IT!

I liked the onsite staff, the breakfast is prety good. What I didn't like was there are limited emendities, the building is being repaired, which could explain the rusty water in the sink, toilet and shower which was disgusting.

This property is apparently under renovations. From what I can tell, the place should be gutted. The carpets are old and stained and what’s worse are the bathrooms. The toilet seat’s plastic was all bubbles around the edges and it looked like old urine was trapped inside. The toilet tank cover wasn’t even for the correct toilet so it didn’t line up (therefore exposing part of the tank). The beds seemed clean but it was gross to put your feet on the carpet or in the bathtub. The shampoo and conditioner were horrible (hair felt like straw afterwards and the bottles were so tiny that my son and I couldn’t even share the same courtesy bottle). The only thing about this property that I liked was the staff. I interacted with 4 of them and they were all amazing. The location is fantastic being next to a ton of shopping and the highway. If they redo the place, I would stay there again. Hopefully that will happen soon.
