very nice setting above Heidelberg Town, easy walk to castle and old town restaurants etc. Just next to fascinating Carl Bosch Museum - well worth quick visit.

Lovely hotel. Room was spacious and well appointed. We had a double with extra seating area on the 4th floor with great view. AC was great with temps outside in the 80’s. Breakfast was delicious and the staff charming and attentive. Would live to stay there again.

The views are beautiful. There was a bad odor at the entrance to the rooms in the common area...I think it has to do with the fact they have the housekeeping area right at the entrace.

We love Heidelberg and this hotel has a view of the hills and Zieglehausen and it’s just delightful, we love this hotel and will try to always stay a couple nights while traveling through!

This is a charming hotel in a beautiful green area close to the Heidelberg Schloss, amid classic villas. The property is slightly dated, which fits the setting and adds to the charm. Old Heidelberg at its best.

Amazing location close to the castle, 15 minute walk. Friendly staff and accommodating to our dog. Directly across from the Carl Bosch museum.

The hotel is quite good, family ambient. Just few remarks Breakfast so-so, no warm food (eggs, bacon). We found a better one downtown. Not true that parking is free. There are only few spots in the hotel, so I had to park outside, and it was difficult to find spot any ways. The access is difficult if u don't like to drive in mountains. Finally, I asked an extension of 1h on my checkout and I didn't get it. But generally good hotel, I would come back. Good room, beautiful views, supportive staff, fridge with refreshments! Good for families!

This is a quaint, German style hotel high up on the hill near the Heidelburg Castle (20 minute walk). Check in was very pleasant. The room was very, very quiet with all the amenities we needed. The drive up and down is a little tricky, but fun! There are 4 tight parking spots in the lot but there is parking a few feet away on the street and it's free!

Good location up on the hill, short walking distance to the castle and old town center (even the over 300 steps getting up the hill were enjoyable). Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel (separate building) itself is pretty tired and could do with an upgrade. A pick up shuttle service on demand from the train station would be very convenient even for an extra charge.

Very Charming!
This is a very charming hotel! We got there a little early and they were able to let us into our room! This is a huge help after you have been traveling for over 10 hours! A very walkable distance to Heidelberg Castle and Old Town. The breakfast was also very delicious.

Beautiful, quiet parklike setting above the river; easy walk to castle and old town. Enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the peaceful garden seating. Breakfast was delicious with many options. Great place to ease into vacation after long flight and jetlag.

The hotel located mid of mountain. Old style cozy hotel near the castle. Little bit far from the town. Front staff welcomed us in a friendly, professional and happy manner Room was clean and well maintained. No AC in a room.

Charming hotel, very quiet.
Many complain about the walk from this hotel. We found it quite pleasant and scenic. It's an easy walk to the castle, where you can then catch the funicular to town. Just be aware of the closing time of the funicular if you do not want to walk all the way back. We missed it, but didn't mind. Only the very first part of the walk was steep, but not long. We found being away from town to be very peaceful and allowed for an excellent nights sleep.

Storybook settting with great views and staff!
We went there for my wife's 40th birthday and the Christmas markets. The staff was very nice and helpful. The double room was huge with great views looking out over the river and hills, with a very peaceful and romantic setting. Would definitely recommend if you like quiet settings with trees and classic German setting. Heidelberg area does not have rideshare services, so overpriced taxi's to get around town or about a 25 min walk to the Christmas markets. Renting a car would probably be a good idea for this hotel.

The hotel was comfortable and in a very quiet neighborhood. However we did not know that there were no restaurants near the hotel. Bus service to and from the hotel was only available Monday through Friday. We weren't aware of any of this and we did not have a car so were stuck at the hotel on Saturday unless we could get a taxi. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again for these reasons.

Hotel advises that they have free parking - very misleading as the hotel only has 4 parking spaces. As you are outside of town and having stage 4 cancer it was too far for me to walk into the town so needed the car, this meant that there were no spaces available upon our return. There is an option to park between 5pm and 9am in a business car park but you have to move to the street early in the morning (6:30am) to get a space! Also I paid my bill upon arrival, upon departure I was told that I hadn’t paid! My invoice resolved this but was then charged for another days breakfast which I had expected to have paid upon arrival. Due to my ill health WiFi is important for my family - the room we stayed in had a very poor WiFi signal. We only stayed for two nights, had we stayed longer it would have been very disappointing.

Nice clean hotel outside Heidelberg Old Town on top of a mountain. Was hard to drive there. There is nothing around the area and is very quiet. A bus takes you into town and if stay late cabs charge about 10 euros from the Old Town.

Lovely Heidelberg.
Nice quiet location. Roomy bedroom, water pressure in shower very good - a must in a hotel! Perfect for visiting scloss and altstadt but get a taxi back I feel you aren't young and/or fit. Kettle for making a hot drink however some coffe and more than 1 teabag would have helped. Some minor repairs required but a lovely period place all the same.

The hotel was fine, lovely quiet area.. My room (#8, 2nd floor) had a steel staircase right in front of the window. Pity, because the whole area is a huge forest. There were actually two such staircases, so other rooms had them too. Parking is convenient, either within the grounds (3 cars) or right opposite. The staff are excellent, very nice and helpful. Thanks, everyone! The hotel has no restaurant but serves snacks in the lovely breakfast room.

Great location but the roads to the hotel are a little steep, narrow and twisting. Although the house is old the accommodation is very modern and very comfortable. Great garden for sitting out on a sunny evening with cold wine and beer at reasonable prices. Short walk to impressive Heidelberg castle and to the old town with lots of restaurants - need a taxi back (unless young & fit) but only 11 euro. Staff very helpful, efficient & friendly. 100% recommended. .

Beautiful quiet location with marvellous views
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful to attend to our needs. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and well appointed. The shuttle bus was useful to get into town. Access to our rooms was down a flight of stairs which meant that we had to carry our heavy cases down a flight of stairs - this could have been improved by allowing us to use an alternative door to bring our luggage in and out - this door was locked and seemed difficult to open

This has been our third stay at the Park Hotel Atlantic 1989, 2004, and now 2018. Each stay has been wonderful! The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is delicious plus generous.
