Condo was not as advertised.
The check in process was awful. I never received the check in instructions from the owner. I waited for over an hour and half to even talk to the owner on how to check in for the rental. The phone number on HomeAway was not valid. It said it was a disconnected number. The manager at the Condo said she was not allowed to contact the owner because they rented the condo and she could not help. I finally found another email where there was another number provided. The owner told me just to go to the condo she told me which was the one I rented but the manager of the facility told me I couldn't go until the owner escorted me there. Another wait time. Finally arrived in the condo 2 hours later. This was not what I expected after traveling all day on business. I do appreciate the gentleman who let me in when he was not supposed to because there is a code to obtain access to the front door of the facility. My plan was to explore Seattle that evening but was unable due to not being able to get into the condo. The condo I received was NOT the condo that was listed on HomeAway. I did not receive the condo. She (the owner) told me that condo that was listed was already booked. Very disappointed. I have pictures of the condo where I stayed but do not see where I can upload the pictures. One thing that was a benefit was the condo was close to Washington State Convention Center.

Condo in the tree tops
We enjoyed our stay in the condo. The location was convenient and interesting. The condo was furnished with guide books and maps of the area, which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable. We tried to remove our shoes most of the time as the sign requested. The carpet was stained and needed shampoo.

great stay
location is excellent! we were able to walk to pike place and many restaurants ( cheesecake factory was great) and easy driving to the Japanese garden and science center. parking on site was very convenient. the unit was spacious, there was enough room for a play pen in the bedroom and room to play in the living room. we appreciated the portable air conditioner as it was warm when we went. the bed was comfy and the shower was great. only minor complaints are the the bathroom was small and tub was slippery for my toddler, carpets were dirty looking but I assumed they were in fact clean just stained, and the curtain in the bedroom let alot of light in so we had to hang up a blanket to darken it. that being said, I would totally stay here again!

Great times in Seattle
Great location Very comfortable for a family of 4 We had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen Grace was great, helped with all our questions and was very considerate with the late checkout due to our late flight out. Plenty to do within walking distance. And good location to enjoy excursions outside Seattle too. The option of parking was a life saver for us. Thanks again for making memories for us.

Great spot within walking distance of downtown
This condo was a perfect spot for our family of four to explore downtown and enjoy some of the fabulous restaurants nearby. We didn't have (nor did we need) a car, as we were able to walk or ride the light rail/monorail everywhere we wanted to go. The check-in process was easy, and our hosts were prompt in responding to any questions we had after check-in. A great, cozy spot from which to explore downtown and beyond!

Wonderful Locaction
It was super convenient being right next to the convention center. Perfect for going to a convention. Being so close to the service elevator was a plus, it made bringing things up and down much easier. Communication was usually fast and timely, descriptions of procedures were detailed and to the point. But there was one time where the host didn't follow through one way or the other about a request for additional parking time and another time where the host didn't think I had paid for my parking even though I had months ago. Temperature control and flow control for the shower was excellent, and it had an extendable spray head. The bed had a wonderful mattress. The kitchen could use a few more lids for the pots and pans, especially an oven-safe lid. I was still easily able to make bacon on the stove top, but I had been hoping to make it in the oven. The dining room table was really nice and the chairs and couch were very comfortable. Solid 4 out of 5. there are few things that could have been better, but overall it was a good experience.

No Recommendation
Condo was clean but a few problems with it -- Wi Fi address given wasw out of range hence no Wi Fi and sent an email and called but got no response. Did not like having to remove my shoes at all times when the rugs were not that clean. Towels were yucky and no place to put used but told to put on the floor. Ironic that the picture here has so much light, as there was no good light anywhere -- bedroom had a light installed that should have been three way and it was one of those low watt circular ones. Same everywhere. No reading with the lights provided. I have to really say that I did not like it here. Also, area was very bad. A lot of drugs right around the corner.

Great location and home-like feel!
Nice accommodations especially for two! Slept well all three nights on very comfortable bed. Made our own breakfast in well-appointed kitchen. Nicely styled living and dining rooms. Could use new paint and carpeting, but clean throughout. Grace and Rachel were very responsive to questions. Would definitely reserve again!!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!
This Home Away property was my first experience in using Home Away and it was in so many ways excellent; and is perfect for a couple who are visiting Seattle. All rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the leather couch in the living room. Everything one needs to have on a vacation in so far as comfort and accessibility and much better priced than hotels. The owners were very quick to respond once I rented the condo and answered my numerous questions. The only thing that could be improved would be screens in the windows (minor) and newer carpet or carpet cleaned. A property I will rent again when I return to Seattle. Close to almost everything in WALKING distance....12 minutes to Pike's Market, 15 minutes to the Space Needle and other attractions by the Space Needle, 5 minutes to the Paramount Theater, close to many restaurants and about 8 minutes to the shopping area. Thanks to the owners for doing a great job.

Outstanding!!!
This place just makes you feel like you are at home. Unlike a hotel after going out and doing all the stuff i wanted/needed to for the day it helped me relax like i was in my own home. Also the owners were very helpful they answered all of my questions really fast. The people i took here with me also really loved the place.

Great location, good for couples
Our hosts were very courteous and addressed any concerns we had. We rented this condo because it is located next to the convention center, and we were attending ComicCon. There were 4 people in our group and we had LOTS of baggage. The only real downside to this place was the sleeping arrangement (and the fact that our baggage took up the majority of the floor space). This is a condo more suited to 2 people. The bed is comfortable, but the fold-out sofa bed is all springs. The hosts did provide 2 mats to be placed on the sofa bed for extra padding, but only 1 would fit. Two of us ended up sleeping on the mats on the floor; however, the mats were pretty well padded and I was comfortable overall. Again, I would recommend this place for no more than 2 people, plus the hosts are very friendly and helpful!

Great place to stay
The location was wonderful. We walked most places. My conferences was at the Convention Center which took less than 5 minutes to walk to. It is right off busy Pike Street so plenty of places to eat and shop. The apartment was clean and cozy. The towels were luxurious, but it would be nice to have 2 more sets. Grace was only a text away if we needed anything.

Great location, good value
We stayed here for the weekend to attend a conference at the Convention Center. We loved the location! It was a quick walk to our conference and to tons of restaurants and shopping. The condos are a little older and some spots were in need of repair but this unit was furnished nicely and the bed was comfortable. Grace was really great to work with and was very accommodating when we needed a later check out. I would recommend this to a friend.

Would not stay here again
Grace and Rachel were mostly helpful in advance of us staying with them, however some of our questions/requests in advance of our arrival sent via VRBO went unanswered (i.e. request for earlier check-in). I think they may be more responsive via text than through VRBO, as we did not have trouble reaching them via text during our stay. There was also some incorrect information in the listing, specifically: "$25/night for each additional guest over 4 people Queen size Aerobed available upon request". Although we were only 4 guests, we requested the air mattress so different sexes would not have to share a bed. Grace and Rachel did not understand this request and this bed was not available. Per Grace/Rachel, the space also maxes out at 4 people, it does not accommodate more than this (even for extra $25/night, as stated on their page). The building itself it is dark and dingy, but provides good security with key fob needed to access the building. The apartment was clean on the surface, but is clearly fairly old - the carpet definitely needs replacing and one of the lights only works if set a certain way. We did not have Wifi the first 2 days (half our stay). Grace/Rachel were quick about obtaining a new router, however, they did not activate it, so we had to contact them again and were without Wifi for an additional day. The pull-out couch was incredibly uncomfortable, as you can feel every spring through the mattress. Piling on blankets (provided) helped a bit with this. The living room was also quite cold as the window could not be closed due to the attached air conditioner unit (which was covered and not in use, we visited in late Sept). We would also recommend the hosts invest in a full-length mirror, additional bath towels, and 2-ply toilet paper for a more comfortable stay. If the convention center is your only destination, this location cannot be beat. There is a shortcut through the park beside the building, about a 3-minute walk. To get to attractions downtown (Pike Place Market, etc) you can expect to walk 15+ minutes, but it is doable. Finally, some of our deposit was deducted for "damage to the closet door", although we did not notice damage in this area at any time during our stay. I would recommend documenting any damages when you arrive and taking pictures when you leave, as now we do not have any evidence to dispute this claim.

We had a great stay!
Grace and Rachel were very flexible and easy to contact with any questions! It was very nice to have a place to stay with a kitchen and living area. The bathroom is a little small for two people to share but we managed. The bed is very comfortable! The apartment is very close to the convention center and not a bad walk to the waterfront area. Thank you again, we really did enjoy our stay!

Great stay at a great location!
We really enjoyed our stay! The location of the unit was perfect for us, as it is just a couple of blocks from the convention center. There are also a number of restaurants and coffee bars close by. Rachel and Grace were great hosts, and provided a number of recommendations of where to eat in Seattle. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Seattle!

Perfect!
This place is very much walking distance like everyone says. If you're coming from Westlake Station I would recommend getting a ride as the walk there with luggage was more than we would have done had we known. There's a convenience store a short distance away, we walked to Pike Place Market (take Savor Seattle tour!!), walked to Starbucks Reserve/Serious Pie (coconut cream pie divine but about $12!) and walked to The Saint. That was a bit much not because of distance but killer hills! Regardless it was a perfect location and this condo?/apartment? was perfectly located right near elevator. Rachel and Grace were top notch with communication and also helped us with luggage accommodations! Fell in love with Seattle and this VRBO added to the amazing experience. I'd just recommend updating the TV info (not Comcast, no HBO) and maybe adding more comforters. The pull out bed isn't really comfy so we added layers with comforters. Thank you Rachel and Grace!!

Very happy we stayed here!
Condo is in a great location..close walking distance to downtown area. We went to Seattle to see some ball games..train to Safeco field was a short 10min walk away and a cab to to the ballpark cost about $12.Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. Everything you need was in the kitchen and coffee in the cupboard was a nice touch. One thing we would have liked was a full size mirror with maybe a small table as the bathroom is tiny and impossible for 2 to get ready at same time.Overall I would recommend this property and would stay there again.

Ideal Location in Downtown Seattle!
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Grace & Rachel's condo. Very quiet and comfortable, perfect for a couple who want a 'home' base while visiting Seattle. Literally a 10 minute walk to Pike's Market and an easy 40 minute walk to Safeco or Century Link stadiums. Lots of great restaurants within 5 minutes. No car needed. Grace & Rachel were very accommodating in answering any questions. The only critique we would have is the condo is looking a little 'tired' and could use a fresh and lighter coat of paint (personal opinion) and the carpet is definitely showing its age and needs replacement.

Fantastic in every way
Can't understate how wonderful this stay way. Right in the middle of everything Seattle, an easy walk to Pikes Place Market or Capital Hill resturaunts, everything was right there. Using the Freeway Park to walk above the city street traffic was wonderful! The condo itself was great. Quiet, clean, and convenient. Basic ammenities for cooking and convenience. We brought groceries in and cooked a lot for ease and savings. The check in process easy, and Rachel and Grace were totally easy to reach and work with. Make sure to book parking ahead of time. Street parking can get expensive. We will totally stay here again next time we're up in the area. Thank you!!!

December in Seattle
In general terms, one expects value for the type of rental unit offered in this type of setting. While the unit was reasonably well appointed, its age is beginning to show in the state of the furniture, appliances and paint. The building itself is even more dated and tired-looking, with dimly lit hallways and dated facade. Heat is only available at certain times of the day (calculating that people go to work in this, mostly condo setting) but we were not particularly cold due to ambient temperatures above freezing. No noise to speak of from neighbours even though the entrance to the apartment is adjacent to the service elevator, but probably due to the nature of the air recirculating system, odours from other suites enter the apartment. Location is great with respect to the downtown area and conference center but for a similar price and location, one could get a suite hotel with better amenities and maybe service. In my opinion, the price should be revised downward to improve the value of staying in this apartment.
