Secluded Tree-top Cabin on West Seattle Waterfront

Seattle cabin in West Seattle, walk to Alki Beach
Our private woodland cabin is only 150 yards away from the beautiful West Seattle/Alki waterfront and 500 yards from the 10 minute water taxi to downtown Seattle. It features a King room, sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette.

Our 80 year old Tiny Tipsy Cabin is perfect for guests looking for unique beauty and convenience, without all the amenities of a hotel.

NOTES: Steps to House. Seclusion = No Internet & Weaker Cell Service.

The space
* Cozy, rustic, King bedroom
* Large claw-foot tub & shower
* Kitchenette w/sink, portable induction cooktop, coffee & tea bar, mini fridge, microwave & basic pots, pans, dishes and silverware
* Full sleeper sofa with sheets in living room

Our 80 year old historic shipbuilder's cabin is on a slight tilt, has running water, electricity, and most modern conveniences(minus internet). Lofted up above the forest floor, you may see as many as 80 species of birds (including eagles and peregrine falcons), as well as the odd deer or beaver from the rocking chairs on your front porch!

The Fairmount Gulch is one of Seattle's last preserved river ecosystems, and the lack of pavement means winters can be damp and muddy, so be careful walking up to the cabin. Once inside the sliding glass doors you'll find a living room with walls of windows that look out to the treetops above and the creek below. Our guests enjoy playing with the board games we provide, reading a book on the porch, and soaking in the antique claw-foot tub.

We don't have a TV, but we do have the iconic view Downtown Seattle, our famous ferries, and our resident harbor seals just 300 feet away down the private dirt road. Truly a home trapped in time, the Tiny Tipsy Cabin is everything this old harbor town once was, and is steps away from the thriving metropolis Seattle has become. Truly the best of both worlds.

4/5 Good

Wonderful Location
This little cabin is located in a beautiful wooded area. The ferry to downtown Seattle is a 5 minute walk from the cabin and a 10 minute ferry ride, costing $2.50 for seniors one way. The front porch is lovely and the bed super comfy. One factor to consider are the steep stairs into the cabin. Also know that it is called “ the tiny tipsy cabin” for a reason (the inside floor slants toward the front of the cabin).

4/5 Good

Great Setting, Some Missing Amenities
The location and setting is ideal. However, the listing did not make clear that there was no TV and no wi-fi connection. Definitely one communication we received indicated that there WAS a wi-fi connection, so it was a big disappointment to discover that there was in fact none. The bathroom has no extra space for toiletries.

5/5 Excellent

Secret hideout
I spent my birthday here with my favorite person and my favorite canine friend. It was perfect. Right in the middle of everything, but hidden away and private. Easy access on foot to West Seattle amenities and sites. Easy water taxi access to downtown Seattle. (When the bridge is back, it’s easy to Seattle via car, as well).

5/5 Excellent

Beautiful Location
Really enjoyed the coastline being so close. Walked several miles a day, always beautiful. Downtown Seattle only 20+ minutes away.

A+ fun little cozy cabin
My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary weekend. We were able to walk along Alki beach. Walked about 6 miles total stop by lots of little shops eat dinner at Salty’s right nearby the cabin. Great little experience!!!
