This was my favorite place on our 2 week road trip! It had all that we needed and more. We stayed 2 nights, and I would definitely stay here again! No complaints about the property itself. The 2 restaurants in the area were both fabulous, and the quaint atmosphere of Sekiu, a fishing harbor, was awesome! My only complaint is the wording used in 2 messages we had received from the property one and two days before arriving. Both messages stated that our “card was unable to be processed”, and a link was provided to pay the property directly. The first message stated “This is the error: Your card does not support this type of purchase.” A day later.. “This is the error: Your card's security code is invalid.” We had already booked/paid for our room through Expedia. Upon calling the property I was told that the problem was that Expedia was not “releasing the money” to them. The day of our arrival we received a 3rd message that all was good, thank goodness, or we would have been asked to pay again directly to the property. My frustration with this is the sneaky approach to get payment from us by using wording that falsely blamed our card for the problem, when it was really an issue between Expedia and Curley’s. We book all our hotels through Expedia, and this has NEVER happened before.
