It is very interesting to read these remarks, after what you did. To address your false accusations in your review: The unit you stayed in has a/c. Our staff members have never behaved as you described but rather did as required in an upmarket rental facility. Our unit has curtains and as you decided not to use the a/c because as you stated you did not want to pay for its use, you opened the windows for our lovely tradewinds. The unit we offered to accommodate your party of 6 was prepared for you during the night of arrival and the housekeeper was sent the following morning to make sure the group was comfortable. Not once did you address any issues such as roaches or mosquitoes, which by the way is not a problem at our property as it is maintained to the highest standard. The owner was not rude rather your daughter accosted him after he politely told her that smoking was prohibited in the unit but rather she could do it outside. In which you all were briefed on during the check in process. As you now attacked us in such an unfair manner, with every deceptive word you say, we unfortunately need make the true situation: Let us start by delving into the real reason behind these remarks. You booked and paid for 4 pers & intended to stay with 6 pers. Knowing that the unit you booked and paid for was for a max. 4 pers. On the day of arrival, as stated 6 pers arrived, as the manager and person meeting you on arrival, I asked about the plans for the 2 persons and got different stories. When it was observed, that later none of your party had requested transport to the other accommodation supposedly booked. The party was confronted & you became aggravated, noting your plans for the 2 people fell through, however the party confirmed that you all knew 1 week prior to arrival and if any questions were asked just say what you told them to say. Furthermore after the derogative language used by yourself & daughter, we still wanted to accommodate you all. We offered a unit for the 2 persons you turned it down, finally the owner and myself suggested our unit which can accommodate 5 persons maximum and added a fold out bed to accommodate all 6 persons. After this you and your daughter were still behaving very repugnant. Upon preparing the other unit which was quite an addition of work in the late evening hours , involving inconvenience and extra cost for our staff members. Your father apologized for your behaviors noting that the entire party knew that the intention was for 6 persons to stay even though the booking was for 4 persons. We have to say after all, you were a very special group, a one of a kind in 27 years of operations. It wasn’t fun having you and we are now licking our wounds fixing the damages you left us with. We just hope that this may be a warning for all other places you might possibly book through Expedia and any other booking platforms. As now your true motives for such atrocious remarks can be seen. Just to note this will not derail

It is very disheartening to read this after you spoke to the fact that you were checking out as you were leaving the island early because of the mosquitos, It is quite shocking to read that you are now stating that it was the property when initially you stated it was not the property or the room but you could not stay on the island and to cancel the cruise which was booked for during your stay when you arrived. It is still amazing as we accommodated you on the property for hours prior to your check in to the room, as you came way before our scheduled check in time of 4 pm, even relaxing in our Garden area for a while during your wait and not once did you mention mosquitos or being bitten. Furthermore you were asked to lock your entrance and patio door at night, as you should, the area and island is safe but we always remind guests to be aware of their surroundings. For example, one will not go out and leave their bag open with their purse hanging out and unattended. Coconut is one of our very popular apartments for couples and single persons, views of the ocean can be seen from the patio. We clearly state in our information on the booking site there is no air condition and the room comes with a ceiling fan. Also, on request an extra fan would be issued. Just to add the unit has a mosquito net for attachment over the bed. We could not issue a refund of any kind as when you stated you were checking out, you noted it was not the property or the room but you are leaving the island and that was not sufficient to warrant a refund. I hope if you continued to stayed on the island that you had a wonderful stay. All the best and take care!
