I had seen some negative reviews about this hotel. I was looking for somewhere inexpensive and centrally located. This hotel fitted those criteria. It is a bit shabby and is currently being upgraded. I really hope they get permission for a restaurant in the rooftop - the views are spectacular. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was good enough for a week long stay - any longer and I would have struggled with the lack of storage. The bed was comfortable and bed/bath linen was changed daily. Some reviews commented on the noise levels but a look at a map would have shown that it was in a busy area, near a mosque and close the tramline. Actually the nearness of the tram stop was a bonus. The call from the mosque was enjoyable. Any traveller with any sense would take earplugs anyway! I Didn't feel the need for them as I was exhausted at the end of each day. Some reviews commented on the grasp of English of the staff. It varied from good to poor but all were helpful and friendly (you get back what you give out). It wouldn't hurt to learn a bit of Turkish or recognise that many Turks in the tourist industry speak a number of languages. Overall this was a decent hotel.

The staff were good but some of them couldn't speak English Only the manger can speak, again the cleaning was poor the bed sheet is old and raffia You told me the star of hotel is 3 but isn't I can say 1 1/2 Poor communication the location is good to be onset I did not like kind of this hotel Again the sleeping was very poor I didn't sleep well at night because of shouting,screaming,nosing knocking my next door to be onset the sleeping was very bad I used to live third floor I also tell the reception about all this problems but they didn't any thing I m not can choose kind of this hotel thank's

BE AWARE before booking this hotel, I stayed in Dec 2012 and it was discusting. Shower didn't work, the heating didn't work, the room had a terrible odour. I cut my stay short because the condition of the hotel was so bad and booked in at another hotel. The staff were rude, the lift wasn't working properly. I hope I have explained as beat as I can, if you book this hotel expect the equivalent of 1 star

My Stay at Pamphylia
The room that I got was not what I expected from the pictures, but I had a private bath with a tiny shower, but it was Ok. The attention was good, I got service for the bed and the cleaning of the room and believe me They a Hones, I that weights a lot in my perspective. They always had a smile. I arrived early so I did an early check in, they young guys from the night were really helpful to the extent that one lend me his cell phone to make a call to my transport provider, this went above and beyond, he got a reprimand for doing so the last day I stayed from the guy that attended in the afternoon that was 30 something, that I didn’t like because the young guy was been really helpful, I exhort that kind of service and recommend the hotel. I provide everything you will need wile you a doing the tourist things and hardly ever you will be there. You will find al they best sites within walking distance and the best thing the Metro is a few steps away, this was truly convenient when I went to the Asia side and the other sites I wanted to visit and shop. The security in the surrounding area is great. They will receive you with a smile and always ask you if everything is ok, so recommendable. Also I used She tours excellent for getting to the sites recommendable also!!!. Enjoy my stay.

The Hotel Pamphylia has great personnel and is located in a great place, but the building itself need upgrading i.e. rooms are small, the lighting is poor, and some paint would help. That being said, I'd still recommend it, and will return again myself.

Avoid this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights, only because it was prepaid, otherwise we would have moved. We chose this hotel due to its location but there are at least 10 others in the immediate area. The location was good due to location near the public transportation. Based on other reviews, we weren't expecting much but our stay was very frustrating. There wasn't a single system in the room that worked properly. The hot water was unreliable, the hairdryer looked like it had already been in an electrical fire, the bathroom towel bar would only stay on the wall it we didn't use it. The shower doors in both rooms were not designed for the space so after each use the floor got completely soaked and the showers don't drain properly so if you're not careful it will overflow and the water issue is even worse. The cleanliness of the room was lacking, the floor didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while, even immediately after they cleaned the room. The bed was very hard which may appeal to some but the sheets don't fit the bed and they don't use mattress covers so if you stay here expect to wake up laying on the bare mattress. The fridge in our 1st room didn't work and in the 2nd it made noise but barely kept anything cool. The cable TV was temperamental due to improper wiring. At certain times of the day the room would fill with the smell of cigarette smoke. Although the maintenance staff was quick to check on defects the hotel's management did nothing to resolve the issues.

The room was quite a bit worse than the photos and description. We talked to the hotel manager and they agreed to give us a better room, but after three nights. But the people were very nice and friendly.

Super Value and EXCELLENT personal attention!
Our check in time was supposed to be 1pm. We arrived in Istanbul at 630AM, they invited us to have breakfast in the dining area, and they had our room ready for us in less than one hour! The breakfast at this hotel was included in the price. The buffet consisted of pastries, bread, hard-boiled eggs, vegetables, cheese, some cold cuts, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice. excellent for price point! FREE wireless internet in the lobby!!! Again, something that you just don't normally get at this price in a hotel. The people who work at the hotel were what made this a little better than most budget hotels. The manager is very helpful in helping to find restaurants. The stewards are equally attentive, helping to resolve a plumbing issue quickly, finding us taxis, assisting in phone calls, loaning umbrellas, explaining the tramway, and recommendations for restaurants, shopping, etc. They were FIVE STAR in my book. The beds are rock hard. If you can't stand a firm mattress, you should pick another hotel. I could stand it for the price and location alone. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping very friendly. The furnishings were dated, older icky bedding, but clean, and comfy enough for the week we spent there. Location is unbeatable. Ten minute walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi and steps away from the tramline. Definitely would go back and recommend to a friend on a budget!

They Aren't Even Trying
Basically...you can do much better in this same part of Istanbul for the same price. Look elsewhere. The service was non-existent. Our room safe didn't work...we told the staff...they said they'd look at it the next day. They never did. The television didn't work. We heard another customer have a 45 minute argument with the desk staff over both his television and the WiFi not working. Staff doesn't greet you or seem to care that you're there. Most of the time they were sitting on the step of the entryway and barely made room for you to enter. They driver they sent to pick us up at the airport left his sign, but never returned. The location is pretty good...but loud...and the price is okay for the area. Still, there is also plenty of competition and these guys aren't even trying.

Staff are nice, warm and helpful. The hotel is clean and has a very good location: next to tramway and main attractions. Don't expect a lot for the breakfast and the shower cabin is small.

The worst thing about this hotel is that the shower place in all the rooms are way too small. I am well built guy and when I had to take a shower I couldnt move at all in the shower. Also they dont change bed sheets everyday or give you clean towels. Room service just straighten the sheets that were there before and fold your previous towels again for you to use...pretty disgusting! The breakfast is nothing special at all. No variety in food selection. The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Major attractions are very close to this hotel.

Great location with friendly staff but small rooms
We stayed here in April 2009 and were impressed by the location and how helpful the staff were. If we had a problem they tried there best to fix it straight away. The rooms do vary and I would recommend trying to get one facing the street as they are a bit bigger and seem to be better appointed. The other rooms are really too small for a couple to move around in. The rooms arent that comfortable and the shower is very small but there is plenty of hot water and everything else makes up for it. If you are looking for a hotel as a base for exploring the sights of Sultanmet then this is a good one. I would not recommend this to people looking for a romantic getaway or luxury as you really have to pay for that in Istanbul. Wireless is free but can be patchy on the upper floors. If you want advice the reception is fantastic and seems to know everyone.

Reasonable for the Money, Good Location
I stayed in this hotel for two nights in April 2009. I only considered staying in Sultanahmet as I wanted to be in the main tourist area of Istanbul. I consider myself lucky to have found this hotel as I only started planning the trip a few days prior to the flight and most of the alternatives were somewhat expensive to very expensive or other hotels that I knew of were already booked up. I'd recommend this hotel for transit or if you are traveling alone; the room was a bit too cramped for two people although, in fairness, they probably have bigger rooms. Furniture was old but that didn't bother me. On international standards, this hotel I would rate two star B. (Hotels in Istanbul I have observed to have star inflation of one star.) Ignore any negative reviews of this hotel but be modest in your expectations. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Meget centralt beliggende hotel tæt på sporvogn, metro og store oplevelser. Værelserne var dog ikke særligt tillokkende, med megen støj fra elevator og naboværelser. Hvilket kan skyldes den igangværende ombygning af hotellet. Morgenmaden er simpel - men omvendt, hvis man har vælgt at bo billigt (og det er det) så får man nok også hvad man betaler for. Meget hjælpsomt personale.

The hotel and the rooms look very different from the photos we saw at hotels.com. The rooms need to be renovated urgently and were not very clean. Our stall shower flooded after 2 minutes of shower. The lift doesn't have the internal door! A good point is the location: five minutes walk to Aya Sophya and Blue Mosque and there are several restaurants around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They really made a difference.

まあまあですが、立地は良いです。
メジャーな観光地へは近く、トラム駅などにも近く、立地はよいです。ただ、部屋が最小限の広さなのとシャワーが狭かったです。あと、金庫が冷蔵庫の上にむき出しで固定されずにおいてありましたので、実質無いのと同じかと思います。ついでに、お酒が飲める店が近くにあるものの、買える店を近所で発見できませんでした。近所のスーパーには無い。細かいことを気にしなければ普通に過ごせます。

Het hotel is dringend aan renovatie toe. Maar is schoen en het personeel is erg aardig en behulpzaam. Als je luxe en comfort zoek ben je aan deze hotel bij de verkeerde adres. Prijs / kwaliteit verhouding? Ik denk dat je te veel betaald voor de (kwaliteit/staat) kamer die krijgt.

På bestillingsovesigten fremgik der at hotellet var vurderet til 4 stjerner. Jeg er glad for at jeg kun skulle overnatte i en nat, idet vedligeholdelsen af hotellet er alt for dårlig, og herunder mangler m.v. F.eks. Barskab og opbevaringsskabe defekte, lampen over spejlet på badeværelset synligt i stykker, og fungerede ikke, badeværelsets loft var faldefærdigt, brusekabinen i stykker, ingen natlampe, og døren til badeværelset gik i baglås (godt jeg ikke var derinde!). Personalet var dog flinke og positiv involverede. Hotellet bør omklassificeres til blot 2 stjerner.

観光に便利
トラムの駅からすぐでトプカプ宮殿の入口迄歩いて5分、ブルーモスク、アヤソフィア、ガラタ橋も徒歩圏内です。泊まった部屋が最上階の7階だったのでwifiは届きませんでしたが下の階なら届くかも。シーツ等も清潔でした。朝食はシンプル。ただ、朝食後ホテルのおじさんが最上階にあるテラスで一服しながら飲んだら気持ちいいぞみたいな事を言ってチャイをカップごと上に持ってていいよと勧めてくれる等この方がとてもフレンドリーに対応してくれました。立地も良いので泊まっても損はないかと思われます。

Les chambres ont différents standings . certaines ( derniers étages) ont vu sur le Palais Topkapi ( au dessus des toits) Propre, personnel serviable mais pour les petites chambres et celles qui ne sont pas "en façade", ce n'est intéressant qu'à petit prix!!!! Personnel parle surtout anglais et allemand, mais ça va Buffet de type allemand pour le petit dej, mais c'était ok, c'est copieux On peut se rendre à pied depuis l'hôtel à la grande majorité des sites touristiques

Hotellet har en god beliggenhed hvor man er tæt på det hele, men renheden af værelset var dårlig og de problemer vi havde i vores værelse blev ikke løst selvom vi har sagt det flere gange. Morgenmaden var heller ikke den bedste. Men man skal lige huske at det er en billig hotel, så man kan nok ikke forvente mere...

立地条件が魅力のホテルです。
良い点は、旧市街のギュルハネ駅からとても近いので、アタテュルク空港からメトロとトラムを乗り継いで市内にくる方には便利だと思います。 また、トプカプ宮殿やアヤソフィア等も徒歩圏内なので観光するにはとても便利です。 ここら辺は、治安も良いです。女性一人でも安心して過ごせました。 ホテルのスタッフさんたちもとても親切で、良い思い出がたくさんできました。 悪い点としては、バスルームがとっても狭い。照明が暗い。 窓が小さいため風通しが悪く、シャワーを使った後、部屋が湿っぽくなるなど。 街に慣れるまでの１〜２日くらいの滞在なら問題なく過ごせるホテルです。

I travelled to Istanbul with my 2 teenaged sons and stayed over Eastern holliday. The hotel is situated extremly close to all the main attractions such as Large Bazar, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi etc, within less than 1km. The hotel is extremly basic, but clean. So if you want a cheap hotel with absolutely no extras, except that it is clean and well placed I can definetly recommend it.

Positiv: Zur Tram Station 50m u. die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar.Das Personal war freundlich u. hilfsbereit. Diese Bewertung betrifft allein das Zimmer 701 des Hotels Pamphylia. Das Zimmer befindet sich in der obersten Etage. Alle Zi. dieser Etage sind nicht nummeriert. Ich habe den Eindruck das diese Zimmer auch nicht bei der Hotelbewertung (3 Sterne) vorgestellt wurdne, sondern in den Sommer-monaten bei Überfüllung gerne mit vermietet wird.NEGATIV: Das Hotel wirbt mit Sat-TV und Aircodition...beides war nicht vorhanden. TV nur mit Zimmer-antenne. Das Zi. verfügte weder über einen Schrank noch Haken an denen man seine Sachen hätte aufhängen können. Es lagen 2 Kopfkissen auf dem breiten Bett. Man kann davon ausgehen, dass es auch an Paare vermietet wird. Zwischen den Rippen des Rippenheizkörpers, verdeckt durch lange Store, stapelte sich der Staub 2cm hoch. Ein Zeichen dafür, dass er über Monate nicht gesäubert wurde. Im Bad gab es weder einen Haken für Handtücher noch andere Ablagemöglichkeiten. Es verfügte über ein WC-Handwaschbecken (ca. 45cm Breit). Als Ablagemöglichkeit für Seife konnte man die obere Kante der Duschwand nutzen. Außerdem fehlte eine Duschtür. Das Standklosett war nicht am Boden festgeschraubt, wobei man durch Gewichtsverlagerung damit hätte umkippen können, wenn nicht rechts die Duschwand u. links die Außenwand gewesen wäre. An den Situngen des Nachbarn hatte man regen Anteil, da beide Bäder denselben Lüftungskanal hatten.

dette hotellet er ikke 3 stjerne. dettet hotellet i forhold til vedlikehold og service, er maksimum 1 stjerne. personale snakker ikke engelsk, badet på rommet er veldig dårlig, toalettet er ødelagt, ville ikke personale fikse det. forokost er forferdlig, lite mat. jeg anbefaller ikke dette hotellet i hele tatt.

Photos du site pas vraiment contractuelles à part le hall d'entrée qui, il faut le reconnaitre est très bien décoré. L'hôtel est propre, le personnel sympa dans l'ensemble, mais côté infrastructures... C'est plutôt vieillot. Certaines prises de courant sont décollées du mur ou carrément inactives, le téléphone est là pour faire joli ainsi que le frigo et le bloc de climatisation, la connexion wifi plus qu'aléatoire à part dans le hall d'entrée et celui du petit déjeuner au 1er étage (Si on peut appeler ça un petit déjeuner). Les chambres sont faites mais les draps ne sont changés qu'une fois par semaine le dimanche (en témoigne les déchirures toujours au même endroit). Dans notre chambre, les WC fuyaient en permanence bien qu'il ne s'agisse que d'un mince filet d'eau au sol. Nous cherchons encore la piscine et son bar, ils devaient peut-être être créés à la place du cimetière d'à côté... Enfin, nous avons essuyé quelques coupures d'eau ET d'électricité en après-midi, plutôt troublant quand on voit que tout fonctionne à côté. Allez ne soyons pas trop démagogue, pour le prix et la situation de l'hôtel il ne faut pas être trop exigeant, mais ne vous attendez pas à un hôtel tout confort si vous optez pour celui-ci.

Sehr Zentrale Lage in Istanbul!!!
Wer Zentral in Istanbul ein Hotel sucht das noch dazu günstig ist brauch nicht viel zu erwarten. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Die Metro ist praktisch vor der Tür. Natürlich ist die Strasse etwas laut, was in einer Metropole in Istanbul normal ist und wer Zentral wohnen will der muss sich an die Lautstärke gewöhnen. Waren sehr zufrieden, sehr gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal, und dazu noch sehr günstig!! Wer hier viel erwartet der muß ein 4 oder 5 Sterne Hotel buchen und den Preis dazu auch zahlen. Wir würden wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Haghia Sophia, Blaue Mosche und Topkapi Palast sind in der Nähe.

hôtel correct mais nécessiterait un bon rafraichissement (peinture qui se détache du plafond de la salle de bain, terrasse sur le toit à l'abandon, odeur louche).accès internet aléatoire.

ギュルハネ駅のすぐ近くで、立地はいいと思いました。 お風呂の窓が小さいせいか、部屋全体に若干湿気を感じました。 値段相応でしょうか。 バスタオル＋タオル、石鹸付き。ドライヤーあり。 歯ブラシ・シャンプー・スリッパなどは無し。 朝食はセルフで好きなだけ食べられます。 空港へのシャトルバスあり。アタチュルク空港の場合10TL。

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig in unmittelbarer Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten
Straßenbahnhaltestelle 100m entfernt, Personal sehr bemüht jedoch Das Haus selbst ist sehr alt und unmodern. Die Sanitäranlagen sind in einem schlechten zustand, die Elektrik liegt offen. fernseher funktionierte gar nicht. Frühstück war o.k.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten.
An Hotelservice sollte die Hotelführung noch viel daran arbeiten, Zustand des Hotels ist nicht gerade empfehlenswert (Schmilz an der Badewanne, alles was man im Bad anfasst fällt auseinander).
