The staff was absolutely outstanding at Hotel Skaftafell. We had one small issue with our room and they were able to remedy the situation immediately. We ate dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant. It was excellent. They also kept us up to date on night sky conditions, and we were able to see the Northern Lights very well as light pollution was fairly low.

I had a great stay here. Staff was accommodations and friendly. Food was amazing. Plus there is a glacier right behind the building.

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Skaftafell. The room was clean, the check-in was painless, and the stay comes with a free breakfast - our only such spot in all of Iceland during a 2-week trip. The proximity to the national park is fantastic and Diamond Beach is only 40 minutes away. We even got lucky and got to see the Northern Lights on our way to the hotel the first night. Highly recommend

Rooms were on the smaller side, a little touch up would be great. The location is unbeatable, very close to the National Park. The dinner restaurant was really good, service as well. Breakfast was good.

Great location, not too cheap but given the limited options was worth staying in. Rooms were a bit old, but restaurant looked new and we dined there for one night, food was better than expected. Breakfast was a good selection too, staff were very friendly and woke us up when we requested the Northern Lights wake up call.
