Elk Springs Resort

"This is a beautiful property. I stayed in the lodge and it was quiet and comfortable. It had a main kitchen where you were set up with a coffee pot, filters and coffee, a keurig (bring your own cups) and basically a full kitchen with all appliances available to cook a meal and a table to eat at and read the paper. . The entrance lobby is a big beautiful room and a back porch. The restaurant is good and the staff warm and friendly The fly shop is where you check in and they couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Both are in another beautiful cabin wrapped in decks surrounded by streams full of rainbow trout jumping out of the water putting on a show. The roads along the stream nearby are dreamy with waterfalls in some areas. The roads are a little dicey in parts but worth the drive. I’d highly recommend for an escape and relaxation or some serious fly fishing."

"Everything was very good, the room was very spacious, the only negative was that as it was the off season just about everything in Snowshoe is closed, there was one Restaurant, The Junction, that was open and then the Foxfire Grille was open for just two days as I was leaving, none of the food establishments were open at Corduroy."

"The Old Clarke Inn is in a fine location for motorcycle riding. There is covered parking for motorcycles and other bike friendly amenities. Within walking distance of food."

"My 4th time staying here, if that tells you anything.This place is fabulous for anyone looking to get away from it all. SO peaceful with plenty to do without ever leaving the property.If you're looking for peace, comfort and tranquility this is the place for you!"

"Great place, beautiful mountains. Went during the off season and no one was there, made it feel like real West by God. Places were being worked on but it needs a lot more than that. Been used hard."

"Our stay was a last minute arrangement. The room was quite small but the whole place is so quaint and historic.. Cathy was sweet and very helpful."
The Inn at Snowshoe

"The Inn was the cleanest place we’ve been stayed. The bathroom was cleaned, stocked with fresh cleaned towels and toilet papers. The water pressures were strong. The room furnitures and lighting were minimal but dustless. The TV ,Ref/freezer and air conditioning were all working well. We hope to come back soon. The Inn at Snowshoe is excellent place to stay. Consider to offer continental breakfast please."
