“We recently spent a few nights at The Summit in Hocking Hills and overall, it was a great escape. From the moment we arrived, the peace and scenery hit us. It’s tucked in among the trees, so it feels secluded, but not so remote that you can’t get to restaurants or trailheads without too much hassle.The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked — we appreciated that basics were covered (towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies). “The cabin was beautiful and secluded. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The loft bedroom is the shining jewel in my opinion because of the view, but being a loft, it may not be suited for people with mobility issues as the stairs to enter are steep. The wood burning fireplace does cause a smell to the cabin that, to me, was somewhat undesirable, but it is a normal smell for a room with a wood burning fireplace. “The privacy and quaintness of this property beyond exceeded our expectations, yet close to everything we needed so within reach in just a short drive! We plan on another trip in the fall when it’s cooler and the colors are in full! Waterfall Cabin was a dream on many levels and very clean and comfortable sleeping accommodations! “The inside of the house was beautiful, and exceeded our expectations! There was even two, friendly, neighborhood dogs that hung out with us at the cabin. The exterior of the cabin could use a little TLC. The landscaping was overgrown, and the patio furniture could use a good cleaning. Overall, a great experience, though!”

“Check in was easy because the door was left unlocked. First thing was the smell that hit us. A half burned leftover log was in the fireplace that smelled overwhelmingly bad. Making our way around there was dust and a grimy feeling on the beds. Luckily we bring covers to put over the beds and our own blankets just in case. The third night we lost power for a few hrs which is not a fault of the property owner however it would’ve been nice to know we wouldn’t have water if the power went out. We……
