“The oversized windows face the channel and we enjoyed the awesome scenery from morning til dark! Weather for our stay was exceptional with sun and 70s. The two porches were great for sunning and watching the many birds and other animals around the property. Kitchen was well appointed and beds were comfy! We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend this property due to it’s location and charm (the local art throughout the cottage is so interesting!)”

“Great location-the wildlife was just amazing.You can see Herring Cove from the patio. We saw a mama deer and her fawn in the yard and watched the bears catch salmon in the cove. Would definitely stay again. Recommend!”

“Beautiful home on the Gastineau channel with the tide rising and falling and eagles flying in for salmon run. Loved the large rooms, great windows, and Paula was responsive to our questions and needs. Very close to town and to all attractions. Everyone had their space. Highly recommend this home”

“This VRBO has a panoramic view of the Ketchikan harbor as advertised. This unit is perfect for a couple. We didn't have a vehicle during our stay, so we walked a lot. There are steep hills and lots of stairs which should be considered if that is an issue. Taxi service is reasonable and responsive if needed. We visited during the off-tourist season but were able to find several nice places to eat. ”

The gracious owners have gone above and beyond to be sure guests are comfortable, with great attention to detail and many thoughtful touches throughout the house. The location is beautiful and very convenient to downtown and the airport. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home!”

“Great little cottage. One of the best equipped kitchens I’ve had in a VRBO. Beds were great. Would have liked a little better water pressure in the shower, but that’s the only negative thing I can say.”

“5 Fishermen visiting Sitka a few days prior to staying in a Lodge, needed a place to stay for 2 nights and this place fit our needs perfectly. Great kitchen for this cook and near new BBQ steps away, it was the perfect setup. Hiking trail system that connects Sitka is out the front door, very convenient. You'll need a rental car for this unit, but I'd recommend that for anyone visiting Sitka for a couple of days. I'd definitely recommend this unit, very friendly and helpful owners, great unit, ”

“Loved this location, quiet but close to town. Special bonus is the full size washer and dryer. Hosts were responsive but not intrusive. Front porch is nice for chilling out.”
