Flying Mountain Townhouse

Flying Mountain Townhouse is the perfect spot for your Acadia National Park getaway. Great for families or 2 couples traveling together. New and well appointed, this townhouse will provide a relaxing spot to enjoy your vacation. Three blocks from the town center. Various access points to the park are less than 2 miles from the townhouse. Bar Harbor and the Park Loop Road are 20 minutes away. Need accommodations for multiple families - pair it with Beech Mountain Townhouse. 3 night minimum stay May 19th through October 19th. 2 night minimum during the off season. This townhouse is the middle unit. All townhouses had additional soundproofing added this winter.

Convenient & Comfortable Townhouse Near Acadia
Very clean and roomy townhouse for our group of two couples. Our host was very communicative and has a large selection of brochures and tips for seeing the area, plus a lovely bottle of wine. We would recommend this vacation home and would gladly stay again if in the area.

Very nice stay
We enjoyed our stay in this guesthouse. Great size for our family of four. Lovely area close to several nice restaurants and a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Easy check in and nice amenities. The walls between the other guest units were very thin and you heard everything the other guests were doing. We thought the window between the loft bedroom and main living space was a big downside bc you could see any light from downstairs in the bedroom if someone was trying to sleep while others were downstairs. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

We came to Maine to hike and bike and enjoy the beauty of the Bar Harbor area. Our condo was clean and well kept. It added to our enjoyment. Our host was very responsive. Her answers to my questions were extremely prompt. It was a great all around experience. I can highly recommend it.

Great stay
This a is great property for families. It is very clean. It is about a 25 minute drive from the main entrance to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The walls are thin. We could hear the conversations in the neighboring units but our neighbors went to bed at a reasonable hour so it wasn’t an issue.

The property was great. It wasn’t right I. Downtown Bar Harbor which we preferred. The travel time to the Cadillac mountain entrance is about 20 minutes.

What a nice getaway we had! And, after being out in the park all day, it was good to come back to a pleasant retreat! Ingrid, our host, was responsive to all our inquiries. She sent a detailed email about check in, including clear directions to find the unit. The pictures in the posting were accurate and it was nice to have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The furniture, including the beds, were clean and comfortable. The town of Southwest Harbor was near many park sights. The town itself was quaint and we had a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves and would return should we be in the area.

We did a girls trip to see the fall colors and get some lobster. The trip was a success. The property was clean, Ingrid was very responsive. Had a hard time with the tv volume, but that is nothing that wouldn’t keep me from staying again!

Hidden Gem on the Quiet Side of the Island
My family and I were delighted with our rental during our 1st trip to Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. The townhouse was immaculate and spacious. Within walking distance to the town of Southwest Harbor. Only 5-10 minutes car ride to access some of Acadia's hiking trails, ponds, and lakes. Minutes away from restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, and local grocery stores. Great property, and the location was a great starting point to explore the rest of the island!

Perfect area

Just perfect!
This was just all around perfect for our family! Clean, great location, nice to have kitchen, laundry and two bathrooms. We loved Southwest Harbor and not too far from the main attractions of Acadia. I would highly recommend.
