“The stay was just average and for the price we were charged, it was very underwhelming. They had every opportunity to make our wedding night a great memory, but the hotel is just getting run down. The carpet was damp and the linens were stained. The staff were acting like robots just reciting a script. The aquarium across the street was absolutely incredible! It was the only thing about this Bass Pro location that was enjoyable.”

“This was my first time at this hotel. I really liked it and it will become my go to place when I am in Springfield. Very cool lobby, great employees, just an all-around breath of fresh air for Springfield. The perfect business traveler room! Lots of plugs! Loved the steamer instead of an iron! Good breakfast! “Lobby, including the breakfast area was clean and inviting. Room was clean. Bathroom was small. Room AC produced a fishy smell that overpowered the room, but not so bad that you couldn’t get used to it. Staff informed us that the breakfast buffet started at 6AM. That wasn’t true for the weekend. It started at 6:30AM. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet. Elevator to second floor did not work. Fortunately we were on first floor. Toilet tissue and nose tissue were thin single ply. ……
