Our five bedroom Ocean front villa, with an infinity edge pool just off our large covered verandah is surrounded in a tropical garden and conveniently located between the resort towns of Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay on Jamaica's North Coast. This beautiful 7,500 sq ft, home is privately tucked away at Chukka Cove Polo Club and Farm. ‘Brown Shuggah’ provides a unique access to a truly Jamaican experience. This dream home was built with love and attention to details and finishes. Designed with three indoor courtyards to bring nature in, it is a very open, warm and inviting home. We feel the design blends Farm House, Great House, and Caribbean villa all in one.

Completely opposite to the large all-inclusive resorts, it sits in a large lawn area. Next door to the villa are six small privately owned villas. Here in the country, you may wake up to the sound of roosters, can listen to the crickets and tree frogs songs at night or go for a morning and evening walk around the polo field and watch the horses returning home or going to pasture. The family dogs Lola and Major also live on property and do their part to protect the house at night but will respect your space. If you are allergic to dogs they have a nice little home away from the house where they can stay.

Immerse yourself in the real Jamaica and soak your cares away in the turquoise waters of the cove or in the private pool off the verandah. A safe place to vacation without being locked in a compound!

Your private paradise has a master and ensuite bathroom, sitting room, bathroom and outdoor shower. The master suite includes a living/sitting area with comfy couches and coffee table, and doors that open out to an incredible ocean view, the perfect place to wake up or unwind after the day. The second bedroom opens out on to the veranda and pool, also with an ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom ‘All White Room’, windows open to face the mountains. The fourth Bedroom has two queen beds in it and opens up to the TV Room and east courtyard. Bedroom 5 also has an ensuite bathroom and doors which open up to an incredible ocean view and veranda beside the pool.

This home boasts two more living rooms, one inside between two open courtyards (orchid-west and tropical –east), large glass folding doors open onto an expansive furnished covered verandah. A powder room and dining room. TV room and an small gym with an elliptical and free weights overlooking the front garden. The kitchen opens right into breakfast nook and both enjoy views of the front gardens and the indoor orchid courtyard. There is also an outdoor seating and dining area under the almond tree - where you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze or star gaze.

The cliffs at Chukka Cove are dramatic and extensive, great for exploring or simply listening to the sound of the waves gently crashing ashore. On calm days, a ladder takes you into the clear waters.

On property is a small sandy cove, safe and perfect for young children to swim and play. On days when the sea swells are up and you seek calmer waters, less than a minutes walk along the edge of the polo field takes you to the spectacular Chukka Bay, a sheltered bay where the waters are always calm and cliff jumping, swimming and snorkeling are the order of the day.

Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. Our rates may vary depending on the number of bedrooms occupied. You will be renting the entire house (in other words it will not be shared with another family) however, if you will only be using one, two, three or four bedrooms - we can adjust the rate accordingly, conditions will apply. Rates are up to 10 people and there is an additional fee of US$100 per person per night over 10 people.

The rate for the week of Christmas (December 22-28) is $15,000 and the week of New Years (December 28 - January 03) is $17,500 per week.

Air-conditioned accommodations at this vacation home offer private pools and fireplaces. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Accommodations are furnished with dining tables and kitchen islands. Smart televisions come with DVD players and Netflix. Kitchens or kitchenettes offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include showers, bidets, and hair dryers.

Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include desks, desk chairs, and phones. Additionally, rooms include safes and coffee/tea makers. Housekeeping is provided on a limited basis.

In-room fitness and a water park are featured at the vacation home. In addition to an outdoor pool, other recreational amenities include a fitness center.
