The service was quite bad. The night we arrived my daughters asked for room service. The plates were only removed two days later. Housekeeping on the morning after our arrival was only partial. Beds were not made. The sheets were just pulled. We did not get any room service on the third day. I called the front desk asking for it but half an hour later nothing happened. Had to go personally to the front desk to have our room serviced.

Pros: The hotel room was very clean. I liked that they used white linens, they felt clean. I loved setting on the patio and looking out at the ocean.
Cons: The restaurants wait staff and the food could be improved
Location: This hotel was very secluded. Which I loved. Rum Runners was only 2 miles away. Great food and drinks. Not much that was really close to our hotel.
Had a wonderful experience. The hotel and the view as everything I had hoped for. It was the most beautiful place I had ever been. The hotel room was clean and very nice. The grounds were very beautiful. When we arrived we were greeted by hotel staff with rum punch. When checking in the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The wait staff in the restaurants were not as helpful. When ordering food or drinks, it make take 30 minutes to receive your drink. The hotel was almost empty because we went during the off season so not sure why it took so long to get your order. The food was not great. It was okay. Again it took 1 hour to get a turkey club sandwich for example. The buffet was great. I would suggest that if ordering a alcoholic drink go directly to the bar. Great bartenders! Overall I would go back because of the pure beauty of the beach and grounds.

Very nice hotel, secluded. Id you want to explore the island need to rent a car as taxis are very expensive. Good for relaxing, not much entertainment at night. Food is excellent

abgelegenes ruhiges Hotel - Auto erforderlich. Zimmer war gross, aber doch in die Jahre gekommen. Der Strand ist sauber und das Pool super. Das Personal im Restaurant ist leider nicht sehr gut und das selbe kann ich nur vom Essen sagen. Es ist okay aber absoluter Durchschnitt

Buy food at store. Don't eat at hotel

Location: nothing nearby
Room was good compared to others in St Croix. About 2x the price of others. Eggs and bacon for $24.00 is outrageous. Subway will make fresh for $5.00 Taxi over priced find a local for 1/2 the price

A Home Getaway... Away from Home

Pros: I like the fact that you can decide to stay in and still have a day of fun... relax on the beach.. pool... spa... bar
Cons: Sprint is my provider and I had no service out there, so I depended on the phone in the room. Local calls cost 0.75 per call.
Location: The location is nice. Things can be done at the resort... spa, pool, beach, bar, restaurant, buffets... take a drive out to golf, scuba, island tour..
I am a local and my boyfriend came back home from NY and I decided to spend the day and night and it was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and comfy. Having two flat screen tvs gives you the option of enjoying tv in bed or on the sofa. The kitchen area has a refrigerator, stove, microwave; therefore, a home cook meal can be arranged. The restaurant and bar serves great tasting food and the beach is just breathtaking.

Carambola in St. Croix

We had an amazing one week stay at Renaissance Carambola, on St. Croix. The executive reception staff were incredible. The grounds; exquisite and the bar, restaurant staff, maid staff and gift shop staff were all welcoming and excellent. They made us to feel comfortable and at ease. Unfortunate to believe that all good things must come to an end. This is exactly what happened when eye went to the scuba diving shop one morning, mid stay. How much does one love being acknowledged only to be ignored. During our stay on St. Croix we found it common to hear the Crucians cooly, pleasantly and confidently exclaim; Morning, Good Afternoon or Evening. Me thinks it best to inform the Carambola Scuba Shop girls that they might either be in the wrong line of work or be on the wrong island. #FollowTheCenterLine #StCroixSoNice

The hotel is very nice and service is great. The property is a bit isolated but is a great place to get away at. The amenities and beach is great. There's also a hike to some tidal pools that can be reached through the hotel.
