Great Stay, Lovely Property, Managers Could Up Their Game re Communications
The home was beautifully decorated (e.g., stained glass window in the shower, green & pink kitchen, exposed logs in great room, unadvertised fire pit in back, plus outdoor dining & BBQ) & thoughtfully equipped. One oddity: the sole bathroom is accessible only from a bedroom. The prop managers could be more precise in their instructions & more open to communications. Not a deal breaker, just irksome. I would recommend this property to others & stay again myself with a small enough party.

A Fairytale Cottage
I have been in many vacation rental homes and condos. I was looking for something different and Miss Jane's Cottage was the perfect place to stay. The home is outfitted with everything you would need during your stay. It is in a quiet neighborhood one block from Lake Huron and a mile from the center of St Ignace. Close to shopping and the ferry to Mackinaw Island. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Cute, cozy cabin
Very well maintained and cutely decorated cabin. Cozy but not cramped. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was very well equipped if you chose to do so. Very close to places to explore including Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. Easy drive to the Soo Locks and the bridge into Canada. Hwy 2 was also a very scenic drive. I would definitely stay there again.

Fine location. Quiet neighborhood. Love St. Ignace. So much more peaceful than Mackinaw City. Excellent restaurants, short drive from cottage. A short walk to the beach. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

A (mostly positive) mixed bag
The house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, and we had to wait outside for three hours till the management team could get someone out and have it cleaned. The team was nice enough to refund me the cleaning fee for the trouble however. There was a lot of clutter around the house, such as a jam packed closet with no door, a broken telescope, a few random pieces of furniture. Hornets in the breezeway. That said, the location is great, and being a couple houses down from the beach is stellar. Great selection of dated/retro movies and board games. Very cozy with the stained glass lamp and string lights. As the title says, a very mixed bag. I loved our time here, even in spite of those more negative aspects.

Very clean, quiet, and cozy.
As the title says, the cottage was very clean and cozy in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings with a peek of the water just down the block. It was a short walk to the public access beach. We would rent again if we were to go to the area again.

House maid
The place was great. Need a new maid service. Got there and all the towels was wet. I washed and dry all of them and folded and put back up. The trash can out side was full. I took it to the road Tuesday night so the trash people could empty it. The floors has not been sweeped. I had to keep my flip flops on the whole time. I have pictures if you need.

Enjoyed the cabin and the surroundings being away from the hustle of everyday life style. One complaint I did have was the refrigerator was noisy but after getting use to it I survived.

A relaxing week
It is might be because we were escaping Nebraska for a week, but staying here was one of the most delightful vacations we have taken. The cabin was clean, and the neighbors were kind and helpful. One thing to note, there is no internet or cable tv here, but it is stocked with books and games and the library down the street is very accommodating with computers and internet. Overall is was a very good experience.

The cabin is cute and in a very quiet neighborhood just outside of the city limits of St. Ignace. It provides all the amenities you might need while away from home. No fancy frills, just a quiet, modest but cute cabin.

AMAZING!!!
This cottage is amazing! It has everything you can ask for, clean, comfortable, wonderful location, QUIET and peaceful. The listing does not do this place justice. Four things it doesn't mention: there IS a coffee maker, 2 folding chairs and 2 camping chairs to use, a stackable washer and dryer and one box fan and one window fan to use!! (we took coffee maker, fans and chairs and didn't need any of them!) The neighbors were friendly and helpful; folks across the street lent us their corn-hole game to use! Public access spots all down the street. Great area to walk our dog everyday. Water pressure is AMAZING. (that's always a big thing for me) :) I can't say enough great things about this cottage. We watched at least 4 movies from their huge DVD collection, had two campfires, and enjoyed sitting on the front deck with coffee every morning. Love, love, love this place and it is FAR from "roughing it" (as previous review stated) Thank you for a wonderful week.

Okay if you are roughing it. No A/C & hot. Very private back yard
Cottage was clean. No A/C was a distinct disadvantage. Very hot at night and difficult to sleep. Private backyard but had a backhoe working in the lot adjacent to the back yard on one of our days so sitting out there wasn't pleasant. Good location for traveling to local attractions. Propane tank was low on gas so grilling was very limited. Okay if your are roughing it.

Definitely coming back here!
Adorable cottage, had plenty of room for 4 adults. Short walk down to the water and close to the Mackinac Island ferries. Lots of firewood stacked and ready, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to have a bonfire - next time for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay, can’t wait to book again for a girls trip or maybe a weekend to myself!

Very cute charming little cottage.
It's surprisingly roomy! The lovely sandy beach is only about 50 yards away, and there was no one on it except for two kids on our last day. In fact we saw maybe 10 people in the neighborhood the entire week! The neighbors we did see gave us a heaping bag of fresh blueberries they had just picked. We made a pie. The first thing my 6 yr old noticed were all the movies, games, and TOYS! She played with every one of them. My dogs loved the yard and beach. We had several fires in the nice fire pit and cooked on it as there is a built on grill (there is a gas grill too, but...). There is no wifi and just enough reception to make calls and look up a few things, like where we want to eat etc (reception is better on the beach). There is also no cable or satellite TV. This may concern some, but I found it actually enhanced our stay (I work in communications technology). We had to (GASP!) talk, play games, play out side, swim in the lake, go for hikes and walks, explore nature (always carry water, bug spray, and sunscreen!), unhook and unwind. 10 of 10, would stay here again!

St ignace was a nice cozy town. Close to a lot of attractions.
The cottage was old. It had some updates. Had to fill the propane tank on grill it was empty. Found it a little odd that there were personal items of what I'm guessing was the owners. Example toothbrushes in the bathroom cabinets and clothes in the dresser. Also one of the highlights was supposed to be beach access at end of street the only marked public access was down a couple of blocks and was over grown with weeds and grass. All in all it was a nice place. The rental company were very helpful and always there when we needed them.
