Location near the Daqiaotou MRT station, 9ine is a clean, no fuss kinda accommodation for travelers looking for a place to call home at night to rest their feet. Staying near an MRT station is a must in Taipei, and 9ine is also located near Dihuajie, Di Hua street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Taiwan- you can find loads of goodies like old school candies and pickled and dried fruits. Also walkable to Ningxia night market. Back to the hotel- the front desk is friendly and speaks English. Check-in is straightforward but if you arrive super early or later, let them know as the front door locks at a certain time. Also note that there is no elevator (they're on the second floor). It shouldn't deter you from booking, as they are a great value and housekeeping did a great job every day, but if you have accessible needs, you might want to think about it. The rooms are normal city-size rooms- spacious enough with the essentials and big enough to open a large suitcase, but not two at the same time. We liked the complimentary coffee and snacks in the microlounge. The area is quiet enough at night, but around 6am the side street market starts setting up, and the rooms aren't super sound proof. We had quiet neighbors, though. Would book again!

No elevator, you have to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs. Do not recommend if you are not physically fit. Also note that there is no lobby, you have to carry all your items in one go.

The hotel was converted from an old residential building on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator, which is not obvious when we booked the room. The carpet looks really worn and needs to be replaced. The room is much smaller than what appear in the pictures. The hair dryer would overheat and stop working after 10 sec and need 5 min of rest before it would work for another 10 sec. The worst of all was the shower. The hot water would last for a couple of minutes and the water would turn freezing cold for a couple of minutes. And the cycles go on. You can't take a normal shower wothout driving yourself nuts. Maybe not a big deal in warmer months. Staff were helpful. The location is great. However, it's still a hard sell considering the overall conditions of the property. I would not recommend it to anyone who cares even slightly about the drawbacks I mentioned above. I don't think the price makes sense considering all the issues.

Just a reminder that there is no elevator, and no valet person to bring your luggage to your room. You have to carry your own luggage up and down one flight of stairs. If you have multiple pieces of luggage, it is almost an impossible task (dangerous to leave your luggage unattended outside while you are moving luggage one at a time).

Beside the entrances, there are also few stair inside the room, you need to step up one stair to the room and the toilet. But the room is so clean, the staff will fill up the item and change the bed sheet everyday. The staff are all very nice and helpful, they also have some travel information and guide for the guest. The hotel is close to the metro station and around 7mins walk to the supermarket, there are also some nice restaurant in that area. If you can handle your luggage to walk on those stair, it is a good place for traveller to live

Good hotel for value
Hotel is fine, its a little run down, but so is most of Taipei so this is pretty par for the course. Perfectly comfortable. Front desk service is limited, there is no one there from about 9 at night to 9 in the morning (though that seems to be flexible as well, there were a few times no one was there during business hours!) But overall just fine, good location right near subway.

The room are very clean especially the toilet! Coffee and drinking water is provided in common area, which I really liked! Staff friendliness overall is good, some staffs are not as helpful as the other but overall they are friendly.

Hotel is very clean with helpful staff. It is a basic hotel where you can stay if you are away the whole day like in our case. They change towels and linens daily with water refill daily too. Very near a train station which is 5 mins walking. If I am to go back to Taiwan I will for sure stay with them again. Oh plus the common area has coffee and tea facilities!

I liked the price of the room. I liked the size, very convinent for just a one night sleep stay. Im use to there being english translations posted and my room was completely in characters, i was able to figure out most things by common sense but just worried me that i was going to mess something up. Also the walls are very thin

A hotel near Daqiaotou MRT station
It's not a big hotel and all rooms are located on level 1. The entrance is from the street level via stairs. There's no lifts to the hotel if you've got large or many suitcases. But in saying that, the staff are very helpful and helped with our luggages up the stairs. The hotel is very close to the MRT station which was great. There's a lot of eatery options across the road from the hotel. Noise was a problem for us in the morning as the room was located on the side of the building where the market was. There was a step level at the entrance leading into the bathroom and to the room door, so careful not to trip. There's only one chair (not luggage stands) and it's not one of those flat seated ones, so large luggages will need to be on the floor. Bathroom is really small and very low ceilings which you can touch but it was adequate. Cleaning of the rooms was good except that keep forgetting (3-4 times in a row) to replace the slippers whenever they get rid of the old ones. There's complimentary coffee/tea at the guest hall near reception. The one thing we really liked was the weighing scale they had at reception as we were amid shoppers, so knowing how much weight each suitcases were helped with our travels. For those needing to get to Taoyuan airport, it's just a short trip to Sanchong station from the hotel to catch the airport MRT line. Take note that there is no express schedules to the airport from Sanchong. Overall, this hotel served our needs and staff was great.
