It is located in Avery nice area between downtown and lake Tarpon. Hotel is nice but was getting remodeled when we went. Staff was very friendly and helpful

While you may not have heard of Tarpon Springs, the destination it resides in, you'll likely be aware of the state capital, Tallahassee, 180 miles away.
You should be able to locate a place to stay that will suit your needs. There are at least 3 in the immediate vicinity. The Hampton Inn & Suites Tarpon Springs and Tarpon Shores Inn are reasonable choices and they are within 2 miles of Tarpon Springs Aquarium.
If you want to stay in the area but not burn a hole in your pocket, the Tarpon Inn (just 0.7 miles away) is the place for you.
