“The house and our room were exactly as expected, full of charm and very comfortable. The staff we met were also just wonderful, so welcoming and accommodating. Make sure to review the hotel policies and open/closed amenities before you book (the website isn't clear on those). Additionally, I wish we had simple access to the in-room fridge (which apparently is for mini-bar items only) -- we love shopping local and often that includes perishables. ”

“Before you judge the accommodations, keep in mind this historic hotel was built as a family home/farm in the 1800's. If you are looking for luxury accommodations then this is not for you, and if the room is the most important thing then you are truly missing the point of what this area has to offer. The rooms face the most beautiful lake and in the morning a homemade breakfast with your coffee and take it all in, look at the lock and watch as boats make their way....the hosts Jeff and Core are……
