I've never been so disappointed by a complete lack of training of the staff.
Was looking forward to staying at this hotel. The hotel feels like a well appointed business hotel and the only major plus was the beach view from my room.
The training of the staff is so rudimentary, I was disappointed on almost every occasion of service.
In my first 6 days, Rooms were not cleaned by my return in the afternoon, and twice I had to call for turn down service.
The food selection is another major issue. It is simply so limited. For a non kosher guest it's simply frustrating. Have you ever stayed in a 5 star hotel with only 2 choices of dessert and such a limited choice of entrees??
Breakfast is a perfect selection of choices, but you are continuously annoyed by the young and completely clueless serving staff.
Just a few examples:
No salt and pepper on tablets - OFTEN.
Ordering tea with milk, and receiving tea from one person, milk from another person, having to ask for a napkin from another person.
Ordering ice tea to my room with liquid sweetener on the side, ice tea arrives with nothing to mix the liquid sweetener, no straw no spoon.
Ordered fruit and yogurt to my room one night, and cantaloupe was completely unripe.
Then there is the issue of sitting outside with guests. One morning we could not order any food before 1pm only drinks.
Lastly, every breakfast you have 2 forks, 2 spoons and 2 knives in your napkin, so inapproriate for such an informal setting.
