BEAUTIFUL lake front home with a private beach, dock and large yard
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in the house for a week as two families of 4 with kids ranging from 11-15. The house is a great size and worked well for us! Its a very well built home which meant those of us who are early risers were able to do so without disturbing the ones who slept in! The house is super well equipped and there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't available when it came to cooking and more. We also rented the pontoon for the week which I highly recommend. Prarie Lake is a nice sized lake and we enjoyed swimming & rock jumping. If you're looking for a fast paced week with lots to do, Grand Rapids is not the town for you. There are some nice shops & restaurants but not a lot of entertainment. But if you're looking for a week of water, outside space for games, relaxation & quality time we highly recommend staying here!"
Luxury yurt cabin on park-like property 10 minutes from scenic Grand Rapids.
10/10 Excellent
"This is a really neat place. Not your average yurt. The kitchen has a stovetop, microwave, fridge, and sink. It doesn't have an oven. The gas grill outside was great for cooking our kabobs. The bed is huge, and the bathroom was really nice with a walk in shower with 2 showerheads. The hot tub outside was nice, as was the firepit. We had a real nice time, highly recommend. Way better than a hotel room, much more private. Check in and check out were easy. "
Private 3+ acre executive retreat 4 "blocks" from Pokegama Lake & bike trailhead
10/10 Excellent
"Great setting for our family! Lots of space for our family of 12 for games, relaxing and being together. Also wonderful sleep arrangements. Owners responded quickly to any questions. Highly recommended. FIVE STARS! We have already booked our next visit to this house!"
Family Cabin near Mt. Itasca & Trails: Kayaks & firewood Included
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was amazing, and the house looked just like the pictures. We were able to spend time on the lake and by the fire. Highly recommend if you have a larger group!"
"Great house overall, really can't think of any complaints regarding layout, amenities, comfort, anything. Which is always what you hope for as "best case" when you book for a location. And what a location it is! We spent hours in the lake floating, snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The bonfire pit overlooks the lake where we could hear loons calling, so cool! We are at Otis' nearby on Sugar Lake, and I have to say, it didn't seem nearly as blue as the mine pit did, so I'm very glad we ended up staying here. Host was responsive and easy to work with. We're thinking of making this a yearly trip!"
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Grand Rapids, MN
8/10 Good
"Property needs some TLC. The doors covering the refrigerator and the microwave need touch up. Poor excuse for breakfast. Never have we been disappointed with the breakfast at a Country Inn and Suites until this one. "
"The stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and caring. There were a few issues that were very minor that we reported to staff, but nothing to completely effect the stay."
"All we needed was available to us. Check in was a breeze. We will be staying here again. House was clean. Beds comfy. Kitchen was sufficient and roomy. Great Place! "

10/10 Excellent
"House was beautiful and nicely furnished! The grassy yard was also nice. We had a few fires outside and took the kayaks out one evening. It rained pretty hard one day so we enjoyed the puzzle stash and played card games. Overall a great stay!"
Lake Pokegama recreational cabin with private sandy beach and diving platform.
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful owner- she's at the bigger house on site but she very much gives you privacy. The beach is loaded with anything you'd need, tubes, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, chairs, fire pit, etc. And has a wonderful sandy beach. The location is super private and quiet but close to town. Pokegama lake is great for fishing, tubing skiing. Water is clear. Cabin is good, has everything you need, bedrooms don't have doors but two have curtains and that works just fine. Side room with bed has gorgeous view of the lake. Will definately be back!"
"The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while vacationing! The camper had everything I needed. This is my first camper vrbo and was happy with the size of the shower and the living space. The hosts were very responsive to my questions and made the experience easy."
"Our cabin looked like the oldest. It needs a little tlc. The only "dirty" part was all the dead bugs and spider webs in the windows. Very clean otherwise, and very rustic. It was actually very charming, but vabin itself needs work."
"The cabin was clean and cozy! They had everything we could possibly have wanted. The kids loved the stuff they left us for s’mores!! Will definitely come back!!"
"I spent a few days on Hale Lake with my 13 year old grand daughter. We had a fabulous time! The property was very clean and well stocked. Hale Lake is quiet and not as busy which was great for kayaking and paddle boarding. I would definitely recommend. "
"We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The lake was beautiful and the accommodations were great! Our 9yr old enjoyed fishing. Unfortunately the weather limited the amount of time we spent on the water but when we were out there it was very enjoyable. Would absolutely stay here again!"
Luxury Modern Cabin On Deer Lake!🦌Hot tub. One of the cleanest lakes in MN ❤️
10/10 Excellent
"Beaatiful lake place that had all we needed. Cooked for 10 for entire week and had all cooking supplies needed. Plenty of trailer, boat and vehicle parking tha made it easy for everyone. Lake is a beautiful lake with lots of fish to catch. Was really impressed with the whole set-up and our stay. We will be back."
"This was our first visit to this property and we loved it! I especially loved it being tucked back on a cul-de-sac. We had essentially no traffic and only had neighbors a couple of the days we were there. The property was very well maintained. Our family spent most of our time, when not on the lake, in the 3 season room. I loved the floor to ceiling windows. We spent many hours playing cards in this space. The fishing was great once we figured out the lake! We caught some really nice walleye, smallmouth, and large mouth bass as well a some northerns. My only complaint, although more a suggestion is regarding the shower. The shower is pretty small and it would have been nice to have been able to adjust the direction of the shower head. All in all, we loved this vacation and hope to return!"
"I loved that it was right next to the lake. But our room was clean and they had decent beds. I also appreciated a big size fridge to put all our stuff in for the night since i had a cooler with. I would love to stay there again."
"Had an excellent stay here with some friends for a milestone birthday!! The property delivered as listed and did not disappoint. There is plenty of space to accommodate a group across a variety of weather conditions. Access, location on the lake and proximity to a boat launch made for some enjoyable days out on the lake. Chris is always very responsive should you have any questions or need anything. "
