I booked this hotel for it's location. I had a pleasant experience from the check-in to check-out, very clean, nice decorated, quality sleep, bathroom well equipped.

Tirgu Mures Hotel
Easy check in. Hotel charges 15 lei to park in their lot. There is a large public parking lot just next to the hotel (free evenings and Sunday). Hotel centrally located to old downtown. Easy walking to main tourist sites.

The hotel is conveniently located at one end of the city center boulevard. It is easy to walk to many restaurants and shops. The room was fine. It was clean and well-maintained. The air conditioner in our room was not up to the task, though. It ran continuously for 5 days and never got to the set temperature on the thermostat. It was just enough to take the edge of the heat. Luckily it wasn't really hot weather while we were there. The breakfast was good with a broad selection of foods. My main complaint with the hotel was the front desk staff. They were not friendly and did not go out of the way to be helpful. In fact, they bordered on rude. Also, we arrived prior to check in and they we requested that they hold our luggage until we could check in. They said this wasn't a problem, but when they took the luggage they put it in a room across from the front desk and did not lock the door. Given that we waited several minutes for the front desk clerk to show up it was clear that our luggage was not going to be secured. There would be plenty of opportunities for someone to steal our stuff. I ended up taking the luggage back and keeping it with me until I could check in.

The renovations have definitely done this place some good. The room was clean and had a nice overall look. The bed was pretty terrible however. Staff were friendly enough though not particularly helpful. I would say this hotel is a decent stay for the price, but a far stretch from a western standard of 4-stars.

great hotel & excellent value
Great hotel. Great beds and bathrooms. Mostly really helpful & friendly staff. Only problems were lack of kettle in some rooms & slightly slow response to request for early check in - but this was eventually sorted. Rest of stay was superb. Breakfast very good.

Great value for money, large and comfortable room. Good selection of food at breakfast. Reception staff excellent. However, member of restaurant staff was quite rude, and left the area unattended for long periods when people wanted to pay and leave.

Jeg har brukt samme hotell i mange år når jeg er til Romania med hjelpearbeid. De ansatte er alltid hyggelige mot meg og andre som jeg har hatt med meg på reise. De hjelper gjerne til med informasjon, råd og bestillinger. Frokosten er god og det er reint og fint alle steder. Hotellet er nylig nyoppusset og malt, og fremstår koselig men ikke eksklusivt. Flere gode restauranter rett i nærheten.

A recepcion lévő hölgy számára tehert jelentett, hogy dolgoznia kellett. Nagyon bunkó stilusa volt és magyarul sem beszélt. Egy 50 százalékban magyarok által lakott városban elvárható lenne, hogy a recepcios beszélje vagy legalább értse a magyar nyelvet is.
