This is a lovely, quiet and affordable place to stay. The room is nicely appointed and the bathroom was nicely updated with a shower (bring your own soap and shampoo). The bed was comfy and the bedding was nice. There was a lovely large rolled pillow, but the two other bed pillows were a little flat. The host Danielle and her husband Hubert were lovely, helpful and accommodating; they are also both fairly fluent in English.
They have a barn with several horses, chickens, geese, Anna the Picardie herding dog (I love Lillie) at the property. They offer canoes/kayaks for rent and they also have a schedule for horse riding events (see their website). They have maps of the area and you can take a walk in nature among the wheat fields down to the creek/river).
The hosts showed us around and to our room. There is a separate entrance to the guest rooms. They went to the boulangerie in another town to get us fresh baguette traditional and croissants for the morning breakfast. They served us hot coffee, tea, orange juice, bottled water and jams in addition to the croissant/baguette. They even asked if we wanted our milk warmed for our coffee/tea.
If you want a true BnB experience and love the country, this is for you. If you prefer a busier feel of a larger town, then this is not for you.
It was an excellent value and I'm glad we stayed a quiet night in the country.
All the best.
