"The staff are lovely and the room was cleaned daily, which was appreciated. However, the room itself is very dated. The same applies to the bathroom, it appeared clean, but is clearly in need of refurbishment. There was visible mould on the ceiling and around the tiles, which felt more like a maintenance issue than something related to recent storm damage. After reading earlier reviews from last year, it’s a shame that some of these issues still haven’t been addressed. I was told a painter is due in, so the guesthouse is aware, but it didn’t really change my experience during the stay. The shower pressure was quite low, and the temperature was inconsistent. It would switch from warm to very hot without any adjustment, which made it difficult to use. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The heating is on a timer rather than user-controlled, but it worked fine during my stay. Overall, it was reasonably priced, but the property would benefit from some updates and general maintenance."

"We spent an enjoyable week at this cottage in march. On arrival it was warm, clean & the wine & biscuits were very welcome. Communication with owners who live on site was good. They were friendly & helpful & there was lots of helpful info in the cottage. The gardens they've created are beautiful. The cottage was spacious for 2 of us & the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need. The log fire was lovely though logs were often quite damp so it was hard work to keep it alight at times. Little Crugsillick is in a good position near to some beautiful beaches and places. Nearby Caerhays gardens were lovely. There are some nice local walks straight out of the door but unfortunately the cornish weather wasn't very kind to us & many paths were too muddy to enjoy but the cottage was nice to return to & the large bath a lovely treat at the end of a soggy day!"

"My family and I spent a week in the beautiful Master Shipwrights House in February time. The house itself is finished to a beautiful standard and we were able to use the kitchen facilities to make large meals for the family. We particularly enjoyed the way there are places to do different activities - dining table for a puzzle, warm cozy sofas by the fire for reading and a play room with a TV. The house is beautifully furnished and the time spent on the details of the house give it a real character and uniqueness. It is in a good location to go out and do activities including for example visiting Truro, the local Seal Sanctuary, Lappa Valley children's activity park and Trelissick House and Gardens to name a few. I would definitely stay there again in future and recommend it to friends."

"As always the Manning Hotel shines as the best Hotel in Truro City Centre. Its front desk and dinning staff are always helpful and courteous to guests. The Guest lounge is such a nice room to relax in after a long day of sight seeing! I look forward to my next visit."
