Lake Burrill trip
Lovely property with character, well appointed, cosy, perfect for pets with secure back yard. Bakery goods and a handwritten note were a nice touch. The girls swam at Burrill Lake inlet most days with the dog, the boys surfed at Burrill beach, just a short walk away, perfect! Communication with Kevin was excellent, he couldn’t do enough to help, including a late check out which meant we could go for one last swim. Highly recommend!

School holiday get away
Quiet street, lovely house, close to the local shops, the backyard is enclosed with plenty of privacy, the back has a nice, pleasant garden, loved the morning sun on the deck. The house was very clean. Communication with Kevin the host was fantastic.

The sweetest Cottage
This cottage is just the sweetest. I absolutely fell in love from the moment I arrived. The original features down to the old sunroom, fireplace, french doors and Windows to the updated bathroom and kitchen. The backyard was perfect for my dog with plenty of tree shade. I’ll definitely be back to do it all again but a longer stay next time. Kevin was amazing and full of information to make our stay perfect.

Comfortable stay at a lovely location
My husband, dog and I stayed here for the second time and it will not be the last. We arrived to find relaxing music playing, a lovely smell and some bakery treats. The house is comfortable and the yard great for the dog. A boat ramp at the end of the street allowed me to kayak every day to a great spot where we could swim and the dog play on the beach. Very relaxing stay.

Fabulous stay in lovely cottage
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful comfy cottage by the lake. Loved the pretty cottage with large garden, view of the lake, and characterful decorations. Time to breath
A cute lakeside cottage. You get the impression that you have entered an antique shop but one with modern conveniences, shout out to the Nespresso machine. A gorgeous backyard. My teacup Pomeranian didn’t escape and, believe me, she tried. Kevin the host is very easy to communicate with and obviously wants you to enoy this little slice of heaven. And thanks Kev for the yummy treats in the fridge. Would definitely book again.

Historic cottage
Relaxing, walking distance to shops lake and beach. The bakery had great goods and coffee which Kevin had left blueberry cake for me to enjoy on my arrival. Cottage was fully stocked with necessities. My dog loved the back yard and the rosella flock that visited us every afternoon. Great stay will travel back from interstate again to stay

Good place to get out of Sydney for a break with the missus and the dog. Beautiful little holiday cottage, garden is private and beautifully maintained. Close to the lake and many beautiful surf beaches.

Relaxing stay in Burrill Lake
Good location, well equipped and fairly comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful, both before our stay and during it. We were warmly welcomed with fresh cakes and bread as well as basic staple groceries. Internet was unfortunately quite poor / intermittent and not all terrestrial TV was available (ABC and Channel 9). There was minimal space for clothes - the only hanging space in the main bedroom was occupied by the vacuum cleaner which left a dusty residue. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

It was a pleasure to have you stay at the cottage and thanks for your feedback Cheryl. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday. I try my best to make improvements based on any advice from guests. With regards to the internet however I’ve never encountered any problem with the IINET signal strength or received any comment from guests to date so I’m not sure what happened. In any case I’ve reset the modem and have usual full strength on my phone and Netflix etc through the Fetch TV. The free to air TV reception in the area is not great for channels 10 and 7 my apologies but I hope you were able to view these on Fetch catch-up and found the TV instructions beside the TV easy to follow. I’ve moved the vacuum cleaner to the laundry as I do appreciate that some guests require more hanging space (in addition to the chest of drawers in the main bedroom) and especially as you stayed the week. My apologies for the dusty residue. I’ll leave the vacuum cleaner in the laundry based on your good advice. Thanks again for staying and for leaving the house so clean and well looked after. I would really love to have you come back and stay again sometime In the future. Best wishes and thanks, Kevin

The cottage is comfortable, with everything you need for a family holiday, and extras like fishing rods and deck chairs. Close to the lake, with a playing field next door for children to play and close to a bakery and cafe.

Lovely cottage and beautiful, relaxing location
We had a great holiday. The cottage was clean and very well appointed. The view from the front veranda was lovely, and the back yard, full of delightful birdsong, was perfect for our dog. Kevin was a great host. He gave us lots of really great tips for Burrill Lake and the surroundings, and kept us up to date about such things like whether we could check out a bit later ( we could). Burrill Lake was relaxing, perfect for walks with the dog along the lake and the quiet, secluded beaches. We highly recommend the cottage. We will be back.

Splendour at Burrill Lake
Yes, it was splendour...the wonderful pet-friendly holiday house; a very communicative and friendly hostel (as an aside, we loved his artistic tastes including his own paintings); the enclosed backyard for our Miniature Schnauzer who had never experienced an enclosed grass-covered yard that big; the sunny weather between floods on the Murray and Murrumbidgee; catching up with our family who have their own holiday home at nearby Kings Point; and the darn good walks along the lake for our Cooper. Would we go again... a resounding YES from the three of us. Thank you Kevin!

Fantasic cottage
This is a brilliant little hidden gem. Our host Kev was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. This cottage had everything that you need as a home away from home (including the board games). The rear garden is secluded and tranquil, a beautiful place to enjoy a morning coffee in the crisp fresh air. A beautiful place to connect with family or friends from fishing in the lake to a BBQ at the end of the day. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved this little cottage! It rained for our first few days, but were so comfy and warm that it didn't matter. The cottage was in a great spot with a few minutes dash to the bottle shop, yummy bakery and fish and chips. When the rained cleared, we were only a short walk to a beautiful park and beach, as well as the lovely lake. Our cottage had everything we needed and our dog loved the safe backyard and sunroom where he could watch everyone walking past. Couldn't fault it. Would recommend to anyone

Lovely cosy cottage escape at Burrill Lake - Highly recommended!
My partner and I, were making our road trip from Canberra to Sydney and decided to explore via the NSW South Coast when we came across this little gem. The cottage is very clean, cosy and comfortable with everything you need to just arrive and immediately relax. Kevin's place is stylish and functionally fitted out with a modern kitchen that has all the basics in the pantry you could need. The decks at front and back are perfect for relaxing with a coffee in the morning sun or a glass of wine to watch the beautiful sunset over the lake. My partner and I both enjoyed the native birds in the gardens and will be sure to bring our dog on our next visit. Just around the corner, there is an amazing little bakery (try the rustic white sourdough), a bottle-o and a well known fish and chips shop - I quite liked the flathead tails! We loved walking along the beach and lake which is not too far on foot as well as some of Kevin’s other recommendations for things to do and see nearby. Although we didn’t meet Kevin, he certainly enjoys hosting as he makes you feel very welcome and is genuinely kind. He certainly knows the area well with his amazing local knowledge and helpful tips - he always gave prompt replies when we had any questions. Highly recommend this lovely cottage for its quiet but close to everything location. Plus Kevin is the ideal host as he makes you feel so at ease so quickly, you just want to come back again and stay a bit longer. Thanks again Kev! We had such a relaxing stay and definitely look forward to coming back again this summer!! 😁

Thanks for staying and for your 4-star review Marais. Apologies again for the BBQ automatic ignition being faulty. As I mentioned prior to your arrival this was a result of weather damage with all the rain we’ve had but I see you used the large fire- lighter matches I left in the cupboard for you. With regards to the stove and shower please let me know what issues you had as these are working fine ( before and after your stay) as I use them myself and always check everything between guests. I hope you enjoyed your holiday here and hope to welcome you both back again hopefully with better weather next time.

Best Place at Burrill Lake to stay
Once again we had a terrific time at the cottage, very comfortable with everything we needed. The host is always very helpful. It’s a great location, close to a great bakery with good coffee and a short walk across the bridge to other shops and not far to lovely Ulladulla, Mollymook and Milton. We also enjoyed the lovely beaches and walks in the area. We definitely be returning.

Charming cottage by the lake
Beautiful, well equipped cottage which has been stylishly decorated. You can enjoy the gorgeous view sitting on the front patio or soak up the sunshine and listen to the birds in the lush backyard. The cottage is in an excellent location, with both the lake and beach on your doorstep, and shops within walking distance. The host Kevin was very welcoming and thoughtful, and had excellent communication with us. I highly recommend! We will be back :-)

Lovely location helpful and friendly owner.
Tastefully decorated. Great private backyard. Nice decks to sit on and catch the morning and afternoon sun whilst you munch on your delicious fish and chips or croissants from the local fish shop or bakery. My only issue with our stay was the bed. It was hard as a rock, very uncomfortable. Everything else about our stay was lovely .

Thanks for your kind review Liz. It was a pleasure to be in touch with you and have you stay. With regards to the queen mattress in the main bedroom I really appreciate your feedback and have received one other comment form a guest last year that it was too firm for them as well. I like ro continually improve the house and so today purchased a good quality antibacterial mattress pillow-top for this bed. I hope it’s a good solution as it can be removed easily for those who do prefer a firm mattress. The King singles in the second bedroom already have sleep maker brand mattresses with pillow tops so that’s sorted. Thanks again for staying and enjoying the decks and the excellent food from the local bakery and fish and chip shop. I would love to welcome you back again sometime soon.

This place has everything!! Perfect location, excellent enclosed yard for the doggo's and nothing has been left out. All you really need is your bag :-) Close to shops, beach and lake but very tranquil. Kevin is an excellent communicator and a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely be back!

Cute little cottage by the lake
Such a lovely comfortable little cottage, the lake and beach both with in walking distance. Very quiet and peaceful location where you could hear the ocean at night. The backyard is private with established native trees and shrubs, the large deck was a nice spot to have a morning coffee and an evening drink. This was my first time using Stayz, Kevin the host was very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. I would happily stay there again and recommend to others looking for accommodation in Burrill Lake :)

The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was close to both the lake and beach and a short drive to Ulladulla for supplies. We loved that it was pet friendly and the backyard was a big hit! Kevin was great at communicating with us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the property 😀
