The location was great, and the room was exceptional. The people at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. They guided me around various areas and even lent me charger when he realised mine had a UK socket. On my last day, they even gave me a little Venetian flag as a souvenir, which was such a lovely gesture

This was a very nice, cozy hotel in easy walking distance from the train station without crossing any bridges. The staff at the front desk were so helpful in orienting is and making us welcome 🤗. Remember you are in a very old city with very old buildings and adjust your expectations accordingly. Excellent AC in my room. I wanted this location and hotel, but it was listed as sold out on all sites, including calling directly. Somehow Expedia had one room left!

Great family run hotel near the train station. The air conditioning worked great in July. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located near lots of restaurants and is close to both the train station and a water taxi stop if coming from the airport. A great value hotel. Also very quiet.

They allowed us an early check in, very helpful to accommodate our drinks that need refrigerated, and helpful to assist with directions. Language was not a barrier as they speak English well. Only a few minutes from the station and a few steps from stores and restaurants. Excellent location and value for money!!

Very nice staff - family owned business for nearly 75 years. Rooms were simple, but very clean. Hotel is perfectly located only a 5 minute walk from the train station entrance. Despite busy popular location, hotel is in quite street off the main road from the station. Would definitely stay again. Oh, and the included continental breakfast is a great bonus. Thank you to Alberto and Marco!

I (solo female in my 60’s) stayed in single room for 2 nights at Hotel Caprera and was happy with it. 10 min walk from train station. Easy walk to tourist destinations. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room quiet and comfortable, had nice chair and small desk. Hotel and neighborhood very safe. In room safe not large enough for laptop. I would definitely stay here again.

For what it is, it's a 5 star hotel. Couldn't be in a better location if you value ease coming into and leaving the city. Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, clean and simple accommodations. This is an "inexpensive" hotel option but gives you everything you need except luxury. There are plenty of those hotels throughout the city if that's what you're looking for. As a reminder, breakfast is not included and as of April 2026 cost 10 euro per person. The offerings were simple but sufficient. We would absolutely come back!!

Remember that few old style Italians hotels have lifts so be prepared to heft luggage up, possibly, many stairs. The door on my room would often stick on the jam and the lock was a pain in the neck. Having said that, the location is only 300m from the station and right on the Main Street on the island. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The air conditioner made life more pleasant as the afternoons got warmer.
