“Cabin in the woods....what more could you ask. It was quiet and in a beautiful setting. Food in the restaurant was standard bar food but it was hot and tasty. Bar staff was courteous and efficient, even when tasked with a rowdy party of about 20 people. They were loud but respectful and the staff took it in stride. Only spent one night in our travels through the area but would stay again.”

“The minute my friend and I walked into this cottage, we wanted to call it home. The place was clean and had every little thing you could imagine needing or forgot to bring. Kimmy had these little personalized notes and all sorts of local menues and activity recommendations if you didnt know what was available. And the deer! We just sat on the porch while they grazed right there in the yard. When I return to WV I plan to reserve this place again.”

“The front desk was very friendly and helpful. While the room was clean, the room itself was dated. Bathroom was dark and dated. Bed comfortable. Didn’t like that we had to climb steps to get to/from room since it was rainy.”

“There’s a lot of bad things I could say about this cabin. But the worst thing was (the wiring). I was worried the cabin would catch on fire. Some of the light fixtures were loose in the walls. Especially the kitchen. We did not use the hot tub. We were informed that if water was spilled out it would trip the electric breaker box.”

“This was a clean, comfortable, and affordable property in a beautiful part of West Virginia. The host was very responsive and helpful. Small amenities like coffee and some snacks were thoughtfully included and much appreciated after a long day hiking.”

“This cottage is absolutely precious! From the morning and evening deer sightings in the yard to the cleanliness and comfort of the interior, beds, and lounging/ den area it was nearly perfect. Hostess Carri has thought of everything to make this a delightful stay for anyone wanting to visit the area and to attend New River Gorge. AND it is pet-friendly! The trailhead to our chosen hiking trail was nearly within walking distance! Should we ever revisit the area we will most definitely return to...

“I have to say, this was one of the most well-stocked, and cleanest VRBOs we’ve been in. It is an older home, but I don’t think there was one speck of dirt to be seen anywhere! And there was soap, extra tp, bikes, hammocks, more than enough towels, plenty of everything for anything you might need in a pinch! The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and it was so nice to have the hot tub to relax in after a full day of hiking and exploring. If we were to return to new river gorge, we would stay...
