The rooms are very basic and small, however the mattress felt new and very comfortable to me, and has nice size balcony with great views over the river looking at the city. A nice variety on the breakfast buffet, and very friendly person at reception. Limited parking. Not bad for for that price!

Don't be fooled by the price
The review title says it all. Initially we chose this hotel based on price and parking and as such our expectations were not overly high. Well, the receptionist was extremely helpful and explained the parking in the street behind the hotel or in the 2 bays at the front. Access after 8pm via a security code and breakfast on the 4th floor terrace. The quality, choice and quantity were all excellent as was the view from the terrace. The rooms were "cosy" but clean and everything worked. It was facing the river and had it's own balcony with chairs and a table. Great value, lovely managers (or owners) well worth the money.

Convenient for a one night stay as parking was free, hotel is a little tired and needs a refurbishment, i had a superior toom but not sure what was superior? Really hard bed, Empty mini bar, no kettle or tea / coffee tray. Didnt have breakfast as it didnt start to 7.45am Great view of the river and city from balcony was the highlight

The location is excellent for walking into Avignon. However the hotel was quite utilitarian and the breakfast being offered on the first morning was disappointing. It did improve the following day.

Nice Little Place in Avignon
This is a nice little place. The rooms are a little oddly shaped but everything is nice and clean. The bathroom was a good size. Two big bonuses are the mini fridge and AC that actually works. The rooftop terrace is really nice. The breakfast was ok. There was one person working the desk and the breakfast on the top floor so you had to wait a bit when the coffee ran out or you might have to move a tray to be able to sit down at a table. The walk is not bad to the old city, maybe 10 minutes. There is a very good seafood restaurant just outside the hotel. Id definitely go back, especially at the price.

Great small and friendly hotel
Fabulous small and friendly hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast is great. Just a short walk over the bridge to Avignon so out of the mai hustle and bustle of the city. The best bit was the roof terrace...loved it!

The owners have made a great effort to make this a fresh and very comfortable hotel. Compact space but everything needed was there and a lovely walk across the bridges into Avignon.

The hotel room was a very good deal: about $70 USD for one night for two people during the X-mas holidays. The desk clerk was very likeable, and the room was clean. The hotel was just outside the old part of Avignon and is walkable to attractions. What didn't I like? (a) The hotel is not suitable for people seeking quiet accommodations because heavy traffic is nearby. (b) The hotel strikes me as a party hotel for people under 30, in part because there is a bar with a large courtyard in front of the hotel. (c) I was glad that my spouse was with me since I didn't feel particularly safe, because we were the only guests on the floor and because no desk clerk worked after 8:30 pm.

Very clean, friendly staff went out of their way to advise and assist. But it you want a good view with a river side balcony room, you must get a room one the second or (best) third floor, not the first. All guests get a super view from the roof balcony, open all day, and where breakfast is served.

Ideal for 1 or 2 nights stop over.
A nice hotel, clean and comfortable with friendly welcoming staff. Avignon centre about a 20 min walk away, but there are plenty of car parks which are easy access able from the hotel. No tea making facilities in room and breakfast is available at €9.50pp. There is no lift at the hotel and quite a few stairs to climb. Great view from room over the Rhone, but quite a lot of traffic. Not many places to eat by hotel.

Very personal service.
It was a very good experience with the hotel. The owner tries to accommodate every single request including doing the laundry. The hotel is 5 minutes driving to Avignon and 20 waking. We did a good selection with this hotel that it wasn’t the center of Avignon but very close to the city.

Nice little 2 star hotel
We had a very pleasant 5 nights stay here at the end of Sep 2017. The hotel has very easy access to the roads around Avignon, in case you rented a car for day trips. Avignon is also an excellent hub for trips to Nimes, Arles, Orange, Les Alpilles. Small free, safe parking in front of the hotel, or in low traffic street behind it. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff, clean room with balcony, quiet and safe location despite the traffic in the area. Nice rooftop terrace. 15 min walk to Avignon. Villneuve les Avignon well worth a closer look. The Thursday morning market sells amazing food.

Bathroom was very tiny and so was the room. The best part was the location. It was right beside the bridge going over to Avignon. Guests could walk over or take a bus. The view from the rooftop was great. You could see the papal palace directly across the Rhone.

Great little hotel
This hotel was great. A nice quiet area with good views of Avignon across the river. Only a 15 min walk into the centre, so easy to get to. Would definitely recommend staying here.

easy walk to avignon
terrific location across rhone river from avignon. walked across bridge in about 15 minutes to palais de papes. nice large terrace on rooftop with tables and chairs and beautiful views of river, avignon, and surrounding countryside. on site parking for our rental car. our room had a private terrace with a view of river as well. small room but very clean and comfortable. just up the road on same side of river is avignon villeneauve which has a very interesting fort/abbey as well.

Absolutely amazing stay, the owner of the hotel was a lovely gentleman who unprompted showed us a map with the locations of the top tourist sites, as well as his personal recommendations for restaurants. We ate at two fabulous French restaurants (AOC and La Salamandre) thanks to his recommendation. The room had a beautiful view of the Rhone, the wifi was very quick and easy to connect to and the hotel is located in an ideal central location, between Avignon city centre and Villenueve.

Staying here has been one of my happiest holiday experiences. Wonderful friendly owners Olivier and Ludovic and their team make you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Even lugging my very heavy case upstairs and down -there is no lift but the stairs are not steep and are manageable. Excellent buffet breakfast with a good range of options including delicious locally (almost next door) produced fruit juices and jams. Rooms are clean, cool and comfortable. No hot drinks facilities in the rooms but a minibar fridge with good range of reasonably priced drinks. A pleasant walk across the bridge in to Avignon or a slightly more taxing one in the heat to Villeneuve dez Avignon but also good bus services only 1€30 for as many journeys as you can make within an hour. Drivers are friendly and helpful. I was welcomed on to every bus I stepped on to and wished au revoir when I got off most of them. A tip if you are arriving by TGV: if your luggage is manageable, don't bother with taxis. They are few and far between and I waited 40 minutes for one (but my case was extremely heavy and I thought it would be easier).Take the local train from the Gare TGV to the Gare Centrale. The fare is included in your TGV ticket. Then walk across the road to the bus station and take either the number 5, 16 or 40 to the hotel. You want to get off at the stop called General Leclerc. 1€30 in total as opposed to about 18€ in a taxi.

Budget hotel in decent location.
This is a budget hotel with facilities to match. The rooms are small and very basically furnished. There is air-con but it is very noisy. It's location is ok - a fifteen minute walk across the Rhone to the historic centre of Avignon which is both fascinating and beautiful. The one member of staff we encountered could not have been more friendly and helpful - a credit to the organisation offering many tips and advice about our city visit.
