I found a roach crawling in the bathroom during the middle of the night. The room beside us was full of drunk 20 year olds playing tag and moving furniture from 2-4 AM. They also threw a full beer can on our balcony that hit the door. They ran all over the hotel. Management had to hear them. They even jumped in the pool in the middle of the night. This hotel was cheap, so I didn’t expect luxury.

I showed up at the designated check-in time in my room was not ready. I waited over an hour to get my key and had to leave and change in my car to get ready for my function. I came back hours later and was given the key to my room, only to find that the room was filthy, and hadn’t been serviced, at this point, I was too tired to go through the work of finding a different hotel so I decided to just stick with it. I was given another room that was equal to my booking, but was told by the staff that I was being upgraded when we got to the room, escorted by the staff just to make sure it was really clean and available. It was dingy and the window treatments were falling down and had to remain close for privacy, even though I had asked for a room with a view of the ocean, I realize that it’s off-season in Virginia Beach so the booking wasn’t expensive however, I wish I had skipped trying to get an ocean view and picked a place more inland.

I was charged an early check- in fee of $35. which she first quoted $50.00. The hotel was empty so I see no reason for this. When I complained the staff did not want to hear it. I will never stay there again. I have travelled extensively and was never charged to check in early!!

First room comforter and sheets stained. We were moved to another room with a fridge half size and dirty bath mat. Took two days to get an ironing board as there is iron but no ironing board in room. I expected better being off season.
