Nice hotel. Parking for motorcycles in underground car park was free. Restaurant not open on Sunday or Monday though. Nice bar.

Friendly staff at front of the house. It is a vintage hotel, not many gadgets and very simple, despite the huge bed. Due to work related had to extend my stay 1 more night, however bugs coming out from tub water dranage.... little unsatisfying

Convenient hotel with beautiful view
We had a nice spacious room with balcony and beautiful view over the Corgo valley. Great location only few minutes walk from city center with convenient parking garage in the basement of the hotel. The building has a few decades but has good design and is well maintained. The breakfast had nice bread and OK coffee, but choice and quality of cheese, meat and fruits could be improved. Overall good value for money.

O Hotel é muito central. O quarto era confortável e o pequeno almoço razoável. Abreviei a estadia porque a piscina estava em obras. Contei com compreensão, simpatia e profissionalismo na recepção para resolver a situação.

Avoid this one. Never experienced toilet paper like sandpaper but that is what they have here. Torn raw as a consequence. Expensive breakfast with nothing hot.

Big hotel. wonderful view of river, Staff very helpful, room excellent, 5 minutes’ walk from many restaurants (we liked “22”), easy parking. Compared with guesthouses, we enjoyed sleeping in spontaneously not needing to commit in advance to a breakfast time.

The view free m our room from the balcony was beautiful The front desk personnel were very professional All in all one of the most pleasant accomadations we had on a month long motorcycle trip through France Spain and noe Portugal

A good central location in Vila Real
The hotel was built in 1996 so the design is somewhat dated. However, it has been well kept and I would have no complaints. The breakfast on offer was decent and allows you several choices with hot and cold offers. The lunch/dinner food prices are more than in town, but that is to be expected from a hotel. There is a large grocery nearby as well. Vila Real is a nice location to see the waterfall as well see the Mateus vineyard nearby. There is a nice pool downstairs, though we didn't find the water very warm, sauna available also.

Nice hotel overlooking the Rio Corgo
The hotel staff were really helpful, especially when, due to delays, I arrived in the early hours in the morning. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was also good and available from 07:00, which was perfect as I had to leave at 07:20.

We have had 5 days driving around the area, alas weather was not the best, however the scenery is spectacular, and the wines superb, I didn’t realise how good they were. I guess we must return hopefully with better weather

Although the hotel was quite presentable and clean, it had two major problems: the air conditioning was off and the sound insulation poor. Despite temperatures of 28°C it was not deemed warm enough for the A/C to be on; most uncomfortable. Also, you could hear toilets flushing and showers running from other rooms.

Very nice and friendly staff. Rooms overlook the gorge and you can open your windows to hear the river. Quality and selection of food in the restaurant is poor- very uninspired. Eat in town!

Beautiful view, would stay there again
Easy to get in and out of, spacious parking garage. Centrally located in town, easy walking to town and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Rooms were well appointed and roomy, though a little older, well kept; mine had a beautiful view of the gorge and Rio Corgo. AC worked well, but on the 8th floor, had a good breeze going. Breakfast was perfect and service excellent. Nice pool.
