The service was attentive, friendly and speedy. The place had a real nice village vibe with pleasant interesting locals. Fabulous attention to detail, beautiful luxurious rooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending. The room was The Yew and Eye. Spotlessly clean and a lovely area out the front to sit and enjoy a drink. Very quirky but charming. The welcome at reception and talk through in the room was excellent. The young lady even took a few moments out of her very busy day to give us a brief history of the pub. The bar was busy but well staffed. Service, quality and value were excellent. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. A huge marvellous and stylish shower. Gardens, bars, reception and restaurants are all full of delights and the staff are so friendly! Great communication in advance. Food at the hotel was disappointing.. very expensive very small servings and rather tasteless.
