Welcome to The James McCool House (aka "JMC")! Experience the artful blend of historical elegance and modern convenience in the heart of Walla Walla.
This dog friendly, spacious home boasts approximately 3,000 square feet of living space. With high ceilings, large bedrooms, and gathering areas, your group will be comfortable & have plenty of room to spread out and relax!
The JMC can accommodate up to 12 guests: room, bed, and bathroom count as follows:
* 5 bedrooms (2 are primary bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms) & 3.5 bathrooms.
* 3 King sized beds (one is a California King);
* 2 Queen sized beds
* 1 Queen size convertible memory foam mattress/futon couch located in the King Bedroom #4 on the 2nd floor.
This historic home has has been outfitted with all new modern conveniences for our guests' comfort: all systems have been updated, including new plumbing, electrical system, and including separate heating & cooling units for each floor.
Centrally located, The James McCool House is walking distance (.6 of a mile!) to Walla Walla's Main Street shopping and tasting rooms and restaurants, and just a short drive from Airport District, Southside, and The Rocks District wineries and tasting rooms. Visitors won't find a better value in Walla Walla's wine country!
There are many outdoor recreational activities in the Walla Walla area, including hiking, cycling, bird watching, pickleball, and tennis.
To make your stay the most comfortable, we provide high-end bed linens, bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover towels and wipes, and all bedrooms have white noise machines and earplugs for light sleepers. Our kitchen is fully stocked, and ready for your home cooked meal!
The cozy and private back yard is complete with a large dining table, which seats 12, a propane BBQ & cafe string lights for evening meals & hanging out.
This home is Dog friendly, with a required additional Pet Fee of $100 (2 dog maximum, up to 50 pounds each dog). Pets must be included and disclosed in the reservation. Guests to send inquiry/message to host to add Pet(s) to reservation if option not available at time of booking.
There is ample off-street parking: the driveway can accommodate 6-8 cars.
