“This is a great place for a large family. We spread out a three bedroom, had great beds, and we were able to play cards at the kitchen table. It was also an easy walk to the city diner, which we also highly recommend”

“We enjoyed our stay at Read House. We upgraded at registration for the suite in the older part of the hotel. The decor was very nice and amenities were serviceable. The elevator on that side is pretty slow. In fact, I believe only one was working during our visit. We used valet the whole time, and they were very quick and professional. We dined in the Chop House one evening and enjoyed that meal. It was small and busy, so reservations are a must. We also enjoyed the bar in the lobby. Everyone……

“Nice location, some interesting sites to see right on the property. We didn't care for the restaurant that is attached to the hotel, but the prices were high and there weren't many food or drink options on the menu. There are a few other bars/restaurants close by so don't bother eating there.”

“The vibe of this place was really cool. Bartender Jonathan was awesome too. They have a rotating signature drink menu that fits the hotel or bar theme. Its really a unique stay. The breakfast is good and the dinning area is beautiful. Something definitely out of the usual stop through the South. The Hotel is 100+ years old but doesnt show the wear of the old historic look other building do. We will certainly be back.”

“Our room was right next to a busy highway and the noise was horrible. We could tell by the small number of cars in the parking lot the hotel wasn't near capacity. Not sure why we were assigned this room when many other much more desirable rooms were obviously available. My husband was having heart surgery very early the next day and we live an hour and a half away and decided to spend the night in Chattanooga. We had done this before with no problems.
