To make up for it, we just boasted about the stay to all our friends to at least consider...

"The room is large, the kitchen is fully equipped, there is a washing machine, and a dryer. There is a black university campus nearby, and it is a bit far away from the main tourist attractions."

"We wanted a place that was a reasonable drive to DC and to Mount Vernon and this was just the ticket. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood and a short walk to pretty much anything you need or want during a vacation. I would and will be staying here again when I come down again."

Beware of that when dealing with this host, as something might happen when they’re just dropping off the face of earth.
