Needed accommodations closer to New Rochelle

Pros: See above
Cons: Can't think of any.
Location: Location was the main goal. We were 30 minutes from New Rochelle. Things to do we're not our priority.
I was scheduled for eye surgery on July 29 in New Rochelle and since we live in Poughkeepsie we wanted to be closer. We also wanted something reasonable and easy on and easy off the 684 and Hutch. This LaQuinta satisfied both requirements plus was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, great breakfast bar, and very quiet. Would definately stay again.

Basic hotel, but clean with very good service.

Not many options in the area, so I stayed here. I was on business. Hotel is clean and serviceable. WIFI works well, and bed was comfortable. Basic continental breakfast. Staff was top notch. No restaurants in walkable distance, but the shuttle drivers will drive you into town and pick you up (5 minute ride). I needed a cab in the morning, and there were no cars available. The owner had one of his staffers get her car and take me to my meeting. Again, this was beyond their call of duty. I will stay again.

Cons: a bulldozer?
Location: well, there's some lovely trees....
Last renovated in 1980 (I am making this up), this is a tired former former something (Best Western, maybe), that is devoid of warmth, comfort, charm and feels two steps ahead of a Red Roof. It is safe, it was clean - but you would not put someone you liked here. Connecting room, 1/4 mile away from the desk; you could hear the entire conversation next door. AM breakfast could have been largely eliminated and not missed, but for the local community members who are perhaps sheltered there. In the middle of nothing.

toilet ran all night

called front desk twice to fix toilet first time maintenance showed up with a snake we told him its not clogged but running every few minutes they said they'd be back in half hour after no one showed in a hour we called again still no one came so we closed bathroom door and tried to ignore the annoying noise and went to sleep

Just ok? That won't do. We want your stay to be fantastic. I apologize if your stay wasn't as nice as you would of preferred. No Frills Lodging!

Horrible/ There was a Dog barking all night in the room next to mine. I complained to the staff at the front desk in the morning, no apologies were offered. One of the men at the front desk only shook his head and spoke in Spanish to his Co-worker.

Oh No. Sorry to hear that about your stay with us. I wish we would of known we could of definitely reached out to the guest with the pooch. We pride ourselves in being a pet friendly accommodation but assure you we would of definitely taken care of this. We will work to make sure that in the future our staff does property walks to see if we can catch this sooner. I hope you stop by the next time your in town and we will make sure for a more smooth stay.

It was ok except for the constant running of the water in the toilet. It was annoying!!

Internet connection was VERY slow. Room temperature was eratic.

I would like to apologize for those issues during your stay. We have recently updated our wifi in hopes of providing our guest with a faster internet service. We had all of our ac units cleaned and checked this past week to make sure they are running correctly. We know how important this is to our guest, and we thank you for taking the time to let us know how we can improve the hotel for all of our guests.
