Fully stocked with anything you could possibly need while giving a nostalgic vibe of my grandma’s house! The mushroom canisters in the kitchen were the same ones I remember growing up with! The outside area was beautiful for relaxing and having a fire. My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting Williamsport to support our dad as he underwent major surgery and recovery. I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint! It feels like a home, which was exactly what we hoped for and needed - a place to relax in between hospital visits, and place to rest comfortably and make dinner. The kitchen is the most well-equipped kitchen I've ever had the joy of using during a VRBO stay. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and offered plenty of options to walk my dog. And it was incredibly convenient to everything we needed.Also, Leslie was an AMAZING host! She promptly responded to all my messages and was able to accommodate us when we realized we needed to amend our stay to be near my dad as he stayed in acute rehab.While we were there for practical reasons, I could imagine this house being a great spot for a more leisurely visit to Williamsport. It is on the mountain side with a view of the river and city skyline. It was close to everything we needed including restaurants and stores. The history of the house is awesome as well, so make sure you check out the guest book. The property has been loved, and it is obvious. We stayed in February, but we can tell the gardens must be dazzling during grow season. The patio lights just made the patio even more relaxing. The only thing worth noting is that there is no fence around the yard. However, our kids and dog never wonder, so it was fine for us.
